From what i understand it will cause " lean " codes. I had a viper throttle body and airaid intake with DS tune with no issues. But i understand the superchips lean out the jeep more than DS does. Let me tell you, my upper rpm was very noticeable and loud!! Lol. But bottom end took a hit. Just too big, lost intake velocity and jeep lost about 1mpg overall

From my understanding the viper TB will cause codes at higher altitudes. Those that have experienced it said thwy just turn the jeep off and back on and keep on moving

I know this is an old thread and I've read as many pages as I can. I have the opportunity to buy a flashpaq for my 08 JKU which is completely stock. I really don't care about mileage, I'm just looking for a bit more power when towing my pontoon. I always tow with O/D off, but still have trouble on hills. Just curious if this would help at all.

Thanks
Ryan

Actually, the tow tune does help with the torque and power a little, but regearing is your best bet to really improve the power, and you wouldn't have to fool with the overdrive.

Noon question?? Bought a flashpaq off a friend selling his JK. How do I tell if it has the transmission upgrade? And withe the upgrade do you have to choose shift points down shifts etc. Or is there a preset that will just change shift points higher for a bit more torque?

You have to manually change the shift points. It is better to find a shift schedule from someone who has a similar setup to yours, as it is very time consuming. At least it will give you a some baseline numbers to start with.

Grear! The info I was looking for. I have a 2009 jku w 373s and 34" tires with an auto. Anyone have suggestions for shift points? Thinking of upgrading for the transition options. Thanks.
