Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
That said, I think it was the right move for Superchips to bust out the update price as a manual JK owner who shouldn't be bearing the cost of development. Conversely on my Dodge Ram where I do use it, it has value in excess of the price tag.
ok...just popped the 87 tune back onto my jeep and hooked it up to my computer. opened up the updater and still no option in the online store tab for the trans tuning option. i dunno? is it not available for all model years? mine is an 08. any thoughts? maybe i just need to get on the horn with superchips. i think it was be a nice feature to have since i've got an auto and would help on the highway pulling long grades and bucking headwinds.
The trans tuning feature is in it's own section. Look for a drop down meny at the top of the screen once logged into Internet Update. Select vehicle 2 to access the Advanced trans tuning feature.

Every time I open up the updater all I see are two tabs. The "home" tab with my info and the "online store" tab. I've never had a menu bar across the top. Not sure if that is the norm or not, but seems the interface is kinda clunky. I've been in touch with Jim McGinn who helped me through the issue I had getting the tuner installed intially. Apparently I have a "new" model with a 9 digit serial number that was the issue at first (software). He put me in touch with another gal @ Superchips to look at the trans tune issue. Said perhaps it was a calibration that isn't supported yet??? Hopefully I'll know something sooner than later...
Scott, do you know why my superchips screen looks like this? I have windows7, and it's always looked like this for some reason. So I don't know if I'm missing information because I can't see it or what.
). Anyhow, it might be in the interest of Superchips to revamp the appearance a little to make it a little more friendly. Just a thought...
I will make a note of your comments in my report to management. We definitely want to make internet update as user friendly as possible so if there is an issue we will work hard to improve it.
