Sorry, I didn't have any issues with it and both the software and the computer on their end changed since I pulled the data acquisition.

Thanks for responding. I just can't seem to get it to work. Too bad they don't include step by step directions for using it.

I hooked up to my jeep couple hours ago, then selected 3 items. At least I think did. Each one had arrows to the right after I selected them.

Just plugged in to my computer and ran the easy setup program. Same thing...asks me if I want to select the data acq program. I select it....the program makes like it's scanning and loading something, but when it is finished, it is still asking me if I want to add it.

This time I noticed that when I run the program, but before I sign in, there is an option to select the data acquisition tool. Aha! I thought. Unfortunately it just tells me I have nothing for it to download....error or empty device.

Guess I will have to call Superchips tomorrow. I was delusional in thinking I would get by unscathed by technical difficulties.

this was all confusing to me (and the main reason for not responding) since it wasn't there when i initially received my programmer (maybe i just didn't notice it, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't there). so, after reading your posts i hooked up the device last night. i'm getting the same results as you - click it, appears something is happening, but i never see anything afterwards. there is an option when hooked-up to the jeep, but when selected, i receive an error message (and an unusual grunting sound from the tuner, that i've never heard before). i know you guys will appreciate grunting as a highly technical description, but i don't know how else to describe.

anyway, post up once you hear from sc if you don't mind.

jpop - was on the sc forum last night (didn't even know there was one) and saw some of your earlier posts (and some others) on encouraging sc to get moving on the jeep tuner. good stuff. thanks for keeping after them.

I will. I got that error message when I tried to select data acq at the jeep. But before I unplugged, I went back to it to get the code number. That time it went thru and I selected some data items and drove away hooked up. Later at home nothing would download.

ah, okay. i follow that now. probably would have made sense for me to go back and grab the code. i only tried it once. i'll try again tonight and see if it allows me to go further.

what is the goal of this feature? i tried to look on sc website, but couldn't see and didn't find anything on their forum. what data is being collected and for what purpose?

If you get in you will see a list of things, like engine temp, intake temp, 0-60 time, etc. I think you can only monitor up to 4 at a time. When I selected them, arrows appeared the to right of each item. It didn't seem to go anywhere from there, so that's how I left. Of course you have to leave it attached while you drive. But I got no other indication it was working. So who knows.

I am leaving for the weekend today, so I will just have time to contact them via their website, and get a ticket number. Hopefully when I get back next week I will have some info. If not I will call them personally with my ticket number. Later

OK, I just sent them a detailed description of data acquisition problem. If I am doing it wrong they should able to tell me. I got a trouble ticket, so it is in their system. I don't expect an answer until Tuesday, after the holiday.

At least I have the 87 octane profile loaded to play with over the weekend.
