Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
What are folks running their tire sizes at? My speedo with 35" Procomp xtreme AT's seem to be right on when set to 33".
Oh, and I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to naturally aspirated ECU tuning, but I do believe the new shift points within the 87 program really do help wake the slug up. I no longer feel the need to keep my AT in OD all the time.
I also had zero problems updating and loading the programs. Thanks dave@northridge for the fantastic deal!!

This is covered in the thread but it has gone long so why not go again. There is no APP for OS X but you can use it through Parallels if you have a Windows guest. I use OS X and this is how I update mine. There is a free product called VirtualBox that might work as well but I haven't tried it.
Hi Everyone,
I'm just curious if anyone else has seen multiple prompts for computer driver installations.
I am running Vista Business. When I plug the Superchips programmer into the USB port on my computer, and several times during the process of trying to update it, I would get a message that I needed to install the driver for the USB (i.e. Superchips) device. I had already run and installed the driver. I point to the Superchips folder and the device driver is installed (again). I haven't attempted to plug it in again yet.... I'd kind of like to wait until I make any tweaks to the JK.
I was a little concerned with all of the inconsistencies that I would have trouble when I plugged the programmer into the JK that there would be issues... I was quite pleased when everything went according to the information in Superchips information, and as posted on this thread.
Thanks, JPop, for getting this thread going, and providing so much information.

Hi Everyone,
I'm not sure if it would ever be needed, or if there is actually any way to do it.... but, I would feel more comfortable if I had a copy of the stock data as backup on a different medium (like a computer). I would like to do this in case the Superchips controller were ever stolen, or the data became corrupted.
Is there any way to do this?
Thanks
Jeff

Man! I just read this whole thread
You guys have convinced mt to take the plunge. I was going to get a cat back, but this seems to be a much better value. I will give Northridge a try since they have a bunch of satisfied customers.
I have a basic 2009 X rolling on 29s. Stock except for Iridium plugs and a AFE drop in filter.

Hi Everyone,
Just curious if anyone has used their Superchips to program their axles to lock in 4-Hi.
I will play with this a little bit more; but, from what I have read in the manual, only the front or the back can be locked while in 4-Hi. Also, it talks about not using the switch on the dash. Does that mean that I make a setting using the controller for either front or rear to be locked while in 4-Hi, and then go through the process of programming/removing the controller, and then using the controller at the time when I want to go back to stock?
Or, do I need to leave the programmer connected?
Do I need to have the transfer case in 4-Hi when I do this?
(It may be too obvious a question; but, I want to make sure that this process doesn't affect 4-Lo.)
We'll be hitting the dunes this weekend. It was suggested to go with 4-Hi lockers. Since only front or rear can be locked at any given time (if I am reading the manual right), I'm asking opions about front or rear in the sand being locked.
I'm also looking for opinions on when to remove the programmer from the connector on the JK. Unless I am missing something, when I set options such as the tire size, the Superchips programmer never really tells you when it's safe to disconnect. At least the prompts don't seem to be too obvious to me. The directions are so detailed in some instances such as for tuning; but, not so detailed for other options.
Thanks for any advice that can be shared.
