Tuffy Cubby Cover -- Warning!
Well, I installed my tuffy cubby cover today, and what bothers me isn't that it hits the tailgate (because the tailgate is getting Line-X'd Friday, it is that it doesn't follow the contours of the floor from the mount. Because the driver's side is flush against the tailgate, it lifts the passenger side off of the bottom, and it can rattle on that side. I've tried bending the lip down some, but it doesn't seem to do a whole lot.
What I will probably end up doing is putting some weatherstripping along the bottom so that it doesn't rattle.
However, it really supports me well when I stand on it.

I would like to add another problem I have noticed that I hope Tuffy fixes soon.
If they ship it with non-galvanized or non-stainless steel bolts (like they are), those bolts will rust. The strong 1/2" bolts that mount where the jack is work well and are top quality. The small hex 10-32 1/2" cap screws had rust on them after 24 hours. I'm not kidding, this morning I noticed rust on them, so I've already replaced them (you can get stainless ones at Home Depot for 65 cents). FYI

That makes sense. My cover and rear carpet have been out so long I didn't think about sizing tub to that. Thanks

I was expecting some bit of explanation, but oh well I had my slick tape, so I proceeded to apply it to the same spot that it was originally, covering my scratched cover.

Look at that - just like new! But wait... Just over 2 weeks later I opened my rear hatch and to my surprise - the slick tape had been compromised!

This must be a shock to Tuffy given that the amazing slick tape has worked so fabulously for them on their demo and is still going strong ... wait a minute ... I didn't see slick tape on their cover at SEMA... Hmmm.
Sorry for the blurry pictures, my camera is a POS. So, I once again took off the slick tape and threw it in the trash where it belongs. Stay tuned for what I think will ultimately fix this problem - the application of Super slick tape!!
Man I'll take a picture of mine. The damage to the tailgate is way worse than yours. I'm too the point where I probably should just hammer in the tailgate to get the clearance I need.....Tuffy said to give them a call but that's the last thing I have time to do in a busy day...

Going off-topic - it looks like you have a sweet build! If you post a pic of the tailgate be sure to add in an exterior shot for the rest of us to drool over! How do you like the Currie lift and Rock 8s?
