CT checking in
The new style registration stickers arn't being put on the rear plates any more, they are being put in the
lower left corner of the windshield now, where the old emission stickers used to go.
MJS is right...By law your supposed to run the front plate. I have no idea what the fine is for not having it there,
but I'd like to find out because when I get the new front bumper that I'm gonna order (with the money
I'm saving by not going to Jeep Day Camp-- Yeah...I changed my mind), I'm not too sure if there's gonna be a place to mount a front plate.

Howdy folks.
So - took my top off yesterday, 'cause it was a gorgeous day... left it off all night, expecting some nice warm weather early this AM... then woke up and it was 45 outside (I go to work early). Brrrrrr....
I threw on a winter hat and a big fleece jacket, and "suffered" on the ride in. But you know what? It's worth it - I drive a very rural back-route into work, and there's nothing like the awesome "fresh" smell of morning dew on farmer's fields early in the morning, with the sun rising up over the horizon... it was "postcard pretty," but chilly!
Anyone else go topless this AM?

On a good day, by myself, when I'm actually focused and paying attention to the order that I'm doing things in, I can get the top down in under 4-5 minutes ... but then I probably spend another minute or two trying to "better fold" the softtop down (so it doesn't look like crap and stick way up). Putting it back up is another story: Had to run out right before the thunderstorm this afternoon (still raining as I type this) and it probably took me about 8-9 minutes (the order of doing stuff is particularly important putting it back up, as I'm sure you know).
Even though it doesn't take too long to put up or down, I'm still lazy as hell and like to leave it one way or the other... ex. if I saw that we were going to have a nice stretch of weather with 0% chance of rain for 4 days, I'd have the top down and doors off the whole time! Can't wait for that - sick of all this rain already!
Hey guys,
If/when i ever do actually get my JK, I was wondering if there are any shops that you all would recommend to get work done? IE: If I get a lift, who is a quality installer that knows about this stuff, and new tires etc...
Just don't want to go to some shmo who doesn't understand what he is doing, or just following the instructions. I could do that....
Looking for somewhere that either specializes in this type of stuff, or just has experience with it.
Thanks!

welcome to the ct thread!
When I get a lift it will be put on by these guys, alteredimagecustom.com/ the owners name is Josh and he does some very amazing work. Most any part you want he will get overnighted if it is instock at his wearhouse. He is holding a car and truck show on June 30- July 1 which you could see some of his talents. He loves mini trucks but his personal shop truck can be seen her and speaks for itself. http://www.tunernetwork.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6602
