Yeah, that's one way to do it... how wide are the FJ's compared to the JK's? I'm asking because, while I don't mind wheeling with non-Jeeps, I don't want some hugely wide vehicle ripping up (ruining) those trails - ya know?

My wife has a coworker whose boyfriend loves off-roading, but his vehicle is a jacked F350! Needless to say, I wouldn't ever ask him to join us because I don't want him tearing down trees and ruining it for everyone...

He is working. It's mid week so he wont be around to tell us.

Although I give that man props, he told me and I think trey or leslie he drives 3500 miles a week! It's no wonder the Jeep only has 700 on it.

No need to worry about tearing up the trails more with a fj, looks to be around the same width and shorter than a jk unlimited

FJ cruiser Wheelbase...........Length 105.9". Width, 74.6".
JK Unlimited wheel base......Length 173.4", Width, 73.9"

Yeah, they're definetly not hummer wide, or F350 wide for that matter.
By the way shadowman...there's a car dealer that has a used '07 Unlimited X that's rescue green for sale. Right next to where I work. Maybe you could let your bro know about it. the dealer is in Hartford
I haven't looked at it yet to see what their asking for it or what kind of milage it has.
Let me know if you want more info.

I'm up for some more wheeling in Union, CT, the only problem is the snowmobiles use them. We just have to hope that we don't get any snow. I'm thinking either the weekend of Dec. 8-9 or 15-16. Or we could do it after christmas, it doesn't really matter to me. Post what everybody would prefer.

I'm game for either - just do me a favor and please PM me with the location, so that I can plan a "backroads" drive to get there!

Well, I think I'm going to go up there on the 16th. I post a thread next weekend on it. The name of the road that leads into the state forest is Skopek Rd. in Union, Ct.
