I'm kinda sad I didn't check up on this thread sooner. I'd be heading up there with ya'll for sure, but my friend needs my help getting his van back on the road. Wheeling in snow is a blast!!!!! have fun. If ya'll are heading to Holister Hills, let me know when. I'd like to get a little mud on the tires.

I'm still trying to decide what to get. I know I want NO more than 2" (maaaaybe 2.5"). I am NOT building a monster truck!

I like the Mopar 2" kit but it's $1,600!! So, I'm still looking.... I think I'd like to stick with 33's or 34's for the tires...

2.5" (A true 2.5", not a 2.5" that is actually 2.5) is just right IMHO for a 2dr. I am going to end up with 2.5" in back, and about 2.75-3" in front on mine (to make it level). I will end up with 33's. I dont think I need larger for what I use my JK for (daily driving mostly). I have my J10 for anything that requires more.

The Mopar kit isn't even made by Mopar, they just put their name on it. And manage to swindle people into using it because it won't break the warranty. (not that all others lifts will).

Agreed. The Mopar kit is considered a "performance mod" and as such is not technically covered by the warranty.

Some dealers may be slightly more inclined to offer it, but if you read the fine print, you're really technically no better off.

From the Chrysler warranty:

Performance or racing parts are considered to be non-Chrysler parts. Repairs or adjustments caused by their use are not covered under your warranties.
Both the 2" and 4.5" Mopar kits are part of their "MOPAR Performance" line (see product listing at Quadratec, for example)

For my money, I'd pocket the $600 for the 2" kit and either just buy the RE kit directly, or pick up a Tera kit or similar.

I doubt you will have any warranty issues with that mild of a lift anyway, I'm just saying the Mopar kit is not a guarantee either way.

Yeah... I just saw the TF 2" kit is only like $600 and change.. I think I'll just pocket the extra $1,000..

I'm wondering if anyone has tried getting a powertrain repair with a lift kit on? I would really hate to have my whole warranty cancelled...
