Nice , I meant to ask you was you going to do ball joints

When I did mine I sleeved and gusset then sand blasted it down to metal , bedlined and painted it , then re gear and ball joints

I told myself since I got this out , I was not going to take it out again

Evo sleeves show up tomorrow.

I have the ball joints, just looking for a puller. Might borrow one from auto zone.

I might weld it all up myself or if I can't get the stuff set up, I'll give your buddy a call.

The gussets are not bad , now the sleeves are a pain you have to drill a lot of holes in the axle and plug them and weld the end caps

Really it's just time

You have both there?
X 2

I believe I saw another forum member selling a 44 housing due to the fact he sleeved the tubes and the RCVs wouldnt work.

Anyone weld up a artec truss kit around SoCal?

I can do the C's, LCAS And brackets but I'm Leary about doing the pumpkin.

It might have been that he went to a 35 spline. What spline RCVs did you go with?

Just treat the pumpkin like the Cs. Both are castings and require some preheating before welding to them.

Well. Despite being told they'd work, they don't. I could see right away why, the 35spline is tapered from the shaft, not even close to fitting.

Ill get a hold of northridge tomorrow to see what to do.

It also takes a different type of welding wire as I recall otherwise the casting can crack. I had a buddy weld my Jeep backbone brace on my Rubi dana 44 and even being careful moving the heat around and not welding in one spot too much the housing bent I had to take it to Bob Meyer Engineering in El Cajon to have it straightened. If I had to do it again I'd take it to him first and have him weld it up. He knows what needs to be done and not screw up your housing. Also note while I was at it I re-indexed the "C's" so I can have both drive angle and castor correct
