Man, I hate to see folks stressing out so much about this stuff. You can't change people, you'll always find people you won't agree with, who have different opinions, even different "facts." If it makes you angry to occasionally bump into these folks, all you can change is yourself. Or don't change a thing but don't expect others to change either.
I don't have one bitch about the Jeep community that makes me lose sleep or would prompt me to vent about it on a forum. If it helps you, though, more power to you. What I do is this: I jump in my Jeep, which is built different than yours, and that you might not appreciate, and I have a helluva time in it. Sometimes on my own, but more often with some of the most enjoyable folks to be around I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I hope every one of you do the same, and derive as much joy from doing whatever you choose to do in the Jeep you chose to build (or leave stock).

My main complaint is the 2dr 4dr seperation lol...I've had both and the 4dr guys don't acknowledge the 2dr guys so much...I waive because its a jeep thing and will destroy my panels regardless of how many doors it has...
Its like Dhs vs XC in mtn biking we are all riding so just get along lol....
I noticed the 4dr guys waived when I had mine now I have a 2dr and they scoff at me lmao....not all but a lot.
So sorry to derail yes there's a lot more money in certain jeeps than common sense but in the end it is theirs and if they can or want to swing it then so be it....I love building em for others wether its a install or fabrication money is money mine is purpose built and so I'm not put out too much by theirs...
Been lucky on the last couple of jeeps I did repairs for them beating them in prepared but none the less they were getting it done out there lol...definently using em.

Lots of good points and bad ones made but bottom line is....holier than thou people who have huge tires and an ungodly amount of stuff on their rigs do, in fact, think they are better than others, sometimes simply because our jeeps don't look as cool as theirs. I can't stand the typical "Needs bigger tires" comment that everyone leaves when a pic is posted of someone jeep with 32's or 33's. Get over yourselves! Daily application is what matters. It's pretty bad when my girlfriend, who got a 2011 JKU a couple months ago, signed up on this forum and doesn't even want to be on here because forum members were being a$$holes to her....why? because her JKU is stock!! pretty pathetic and she doesn't deserve that. No one does. Ya'll know what...I'm getting 35's this week, not because I wheel every weekend but because I want a better look and stance. Not for capability because my 32 SR-A work just find. imagine that

After reading all the post... all I can say is, there are better forums out there if you understand every part of your jeep.
I am past the whole what are the best control arms and do i need to upgrade my dana 30. Thats why i dont really post on here a lot. I am not making fun of people who ask questions because I was new once. But I have learned a lot just from READING first then asking questions.

I agree with the above about ego.
Some people are posers and go for the biggest baddest of what they think just to fit in or be cool.
Buy who cares if a soccer mom buys a jeep keeps it stock or not and never takes it off road??
Doesn't mean they are posers. So they like big wheels and a nice looking jeep. Big deal that it only sees the mall. What happened to respect and don't judge a book by its cover. Maybe they want to wheel or do wheel but always like to keep it clean. Either way what's it to you??
I agree that our jeeps stock can do way more than most would dream of. I personally found that out when I bought mine. I was impressed to say the least. But like hopped up cars whose to say 600whp is enuff and should stop there. I'm sure a stock 450whp car is more than most can handle on a road course or track. But like most even more seems better. Most ppl always modify everything in our lives. It's about making it your own for the way u use it and want it to be.
The problem isn't the posers per say. Very few cocky posers are out there. It's the egotistical asses that judge others for what they have or don't have and funny enough think what they have is the end all. They usually think they are better than everyone else, not caring to think what shoes or life the other guy is going thru or has been. And usually are the ones who refuse to wave to a 2dr or 4dr for stupid reasons or perhaps because someone is stock.
The mall crawlers or non wheelaholics are usually the first to give a helping hand. Many dont have the skills or knowledge but are willing to learn.

I've seen many jeeps and other cars and motorcycles and houses that in each way are bad ass but at the same time were not for me or my lifestyle. But I bet you I didn't have one bad thing to say to them. To each their own.

I just got a 13 Sahara that I lifted aev 3.5 dualsport sc lift and 35's and I don't plan to go offroading much maybe once a year. I'm the "poser" u guys rant about. Why? Cuz I wanted a jeep. I go naked and love it. I don't care what anyone says I love my jeep and I know it won't see dirt much and it's made for dirt. Bottom line it's my personality and not everyone likes it. If Simone wants an offroad truck with no intention of taking it offroad then so what it's not ur truck. I don't care if people say I'm a "poser" I drive what I wanna drive. I guess my rants done btw these forums are such big help I love em

Wheel your stock jeep and never mod it, or contribute to a 40 page thread on tacking mesh to the back of your grill, who cares, we all love our jeeps and should just respect each other.

When you make my jeep payments you can do whatever you want with it. Until then, to each his own.
I mean that is why the jeep was made to begin with right? To forward deploy in support of our freedom? The same freedom that allows you to post and allows everyone to reply. The same freedom to use the search button or not search. The same freedom to even have a forum let alone a search button.
Our vehicles, wardrobe, music choice & lifestyle represent who we are as individuals, if we were all mirror images then what's the point of having freedom?
