I have been searching high and low for an answer to a burning question before I make any purchases. I want to upgrade my center console (07 Rubi unlimited) to a Tuffy Console, and I also want to upgrade my glove box to a Tuffy Lock box.

Is it possible to purchase a matched set so ONE KEY will work on both? If yes, how do I order?

Alright,,,, I wold just like to see the existing one match the color better than just black vinyl.

And a overhead console that actualy holds something more than a pair of sunglasses and a couple of CDs. W/ some lights in it and a place for some switches.

You can purchase as many matching locksets as you wish to have all of your products keyed alike. If you order both products, you can take the number off one of the locks and order an additional lock to match. That way you only have to order one lock instead of two.

 

Thanks for the suggestions but I think we have you covered already:

1.)All of the Tuffy consoles and gloveboxes are available in custom color matched Dark Slate and Medium Khaki.

2.) The Overhead console is designed to hold a CB or DIN mount stereo. We actually made the compartment a little bit longer to accomodate the longer radios such as the Cobra 29. We do offer an optional light that comes with the wiring tail which you can hook into. I have seen a lot of people mount various switches on the Tuffy overhead console by drilling some holes in the main body of the console. The new full replacement console will also have ample area to mount switches in easy reach.

We have pieces all over the shop working on this right now. Things are coming along well and we hope to have the new console in our JK this week (maybe tomorrow). Removing the factory console is a little tough but possible by the average tinkerer.

 

Thats the only downside to upgrading to your console. I know how much of a pain in the A$$ the factory console is to get out.
