Default What would you like in a snorkel design?

WE ARE CLOSE TO PRODUCTION>>>> GO TO PAGE 134 FOR DYNO NUMBERS!!!

Been given the green light to develop a new JK snorkel design. Already have the layout and function worked out but would love to hear what some of you guys wish list items would be.

Target retail cost
True applications
Looks....

You get the idea. post up....

UPDATE: as requested.
Here are images that were asked to be placed at the beginning.... The images show concept art and an early (mounting base only) prototype installed.
The look has changed but the function and modular design have been retained.

Default Aesthetics!!! Please!!

I have been looking into a snorkel for about 6 months, but can't find any that weren't hideous, and to top it off you have to cut the hood for most of them. I have been thinking of having one made so this is a perfect time for me to vent

1. Cost $300 -$400 as a ballpark figure
2. Looks, can we try to get it a factory look, at least somewhat close like the military grade HUMVEE's, I was thinking something that just stands about 6-12" above the hood, maybe an extension or something for those that want to go deeper than hood level.
3. No cutting on existing metal body parts or minimal at the best, for us non-beginners but also non-experts
4. Create some type of "U" like under your sink with a small drain hole, so that if any water gets into snorkel, it will collect here and drain (extra security is what I am thinking)
5. Durability, don't give us something cheaply made (understand this goes hand in hand with #1 above) but give us the best bang for our buck

Thanks for taking the time to look into this, if you can get somewhat close to what I have above, you can put me on the list to be the "guinea pig"

Check out the length difference between the River Raider and AEV. AEV goes all the way down the hood and RR sticks right behind the fender flare. If I were to buy a snorkel I'd want it not so long as the AEV. But that's just my opinion!

No cutting!!!! Main reason why I havn't gone with the AEV snokel...don't want to cut into my Rubicon sticker!

Oh and the $300- $400 price range....

Get those 2 aspects down and you have me as a customer!

Maybe something that can move the intake to the center cowl? Like a ram air scoop. No cutting of the hood at all!

Doesnt have to be as tall as AEV etc. Just a short cyclone style prefilter sticking out of the cowl on the passenger side of the windshield. Kinda like a real Hummer.

Of course you're going to have to cut something to make it fit.

and $300 - $400

side entry on body, not the hood. maybe coupled with a battery relocation option so side entry would be easier to route
