I've got 2 JK's - both autos

my unlimited has 13K miles...no problems

my 2 door has 3k miles....no problems

Both transmissions run REALLY hot (over 220*), so I put in transmission coolers....now they run around 160*

The 2 door with 3.73's consistantly runs about 10-20 degrees warmer than the unlimited with 4.10's.

220 deg is way to hot for just "running down the road".

That is really good to know. I want to add one myself, but I don't want them to deny me warranty coverage if the tranny fails down the road. I will check into this with my dealer.

I've had overheating problems off and on. Not sure if it's the engine or the transmission but he dealer blames it on the transmission due to my HUGE 33x12.5 tires. I'll be putting on the original tires back on soon to test their theory.

Mine just hit 10K miles. I've felt like it grinds a bit since day one, and there is that definite bump between 1st and 2nd. The dealers seem to think it's fine.

Wish I hadn't let the wife talk me out of the 6spd . . . never had these problems with my 5spd TJ.
