The above sticker is obviously a automatic transmission. The Manual Transmission is from Germany.

There seems to be some evidence to suggest that the majority of the engine is manufactured in the good old US of A. Even if the pistons were manufactured in Mexico, final assembly is conducted in the US which means someone handled those pistons prior to installing them in the block...so wouldn't the problem then lay in the hands of the final assemblers sitting on the US line?

Not sure if my 2dr 2007 was made in mexico or not but see my post. I'm told by the dealer that I need a whole new engine at about 6 grand

In that case, it was definitely from the US. Mexicans don't drink Corona.

Unions built America? Only because there were no mexicans to work for cheap. People like Carnegie had to appease the unions or they would get violent. Go research your history. Apparently it's been a while or you have been caught up in Obama bin laden's agenda.
