delaers are closed on sunday..

i said md lemon law is going to buy it back... but i fixed it myself... 2 bolts on u joint were missing and other 2 were loose.

 

Man if I had a dollar for every time somebody caught a car dealer in a lie I could afford to make all of us very rich people.

I like to think of most of them as being one foot out of jail. Sometime I go to the dealership just to give the dealers a hard time because they have difficulty listening. I really do dislike almost all of them.

Your best bet when dealing with a dealership is to always assume they are lying to you. Because they usually are. Boy, I could tell you some stories

 

Take it all with a grain of salt. The story has changed constantly throughout this thread.

dealers are closed on sundays as when i made the update..... so there fore no one could of boght it...... we fixed it in the parking lot like i said yesterday..


now we need to finish fixing the inner shift boot... cause this one is hard as a rock.. other than that no rattles..

the rear u joint was missing 2 bolts... i belive theres 10... then 2 others were hand loose.

the evap skid was loose. and my evap was missing a bolt....


i called the dealer today... they hung up on me........... WTF! that wass the main manager

 

Drive over there and raise hell. Pull a lawyer card if you have to.

 

im going to a differnt dealer next time... park jeep seems to be good

I think he means there are 3 sides to every story. Yours, theirs, and the truth.. meaning the manager probably thinks he is in the right just as much as you think you are in the right. Good luck man. It sucks that you are going through all of this..

 

couple weeks late in seeing this, but this is exactly what i have. issues with the 1->2 and 2->3 shifts. no popping out, but getting a little grinding and catching. bought mine in Nov.

if i pull it out of first and let is fall back to the center of the gear posistions, between 3 and 4, and then put it into 2, i dont have a problem. i imagine its just the extra time allowing parts to stop moving. of course this isnt really an acceptable solution long term.

with the warm temps today, I had no issues. next time i head past my dealer i'll mention it i suppose. and I'm in MD as well. heh wtf?
