Parking Brake is worthless
all you have to do is get a jeep ad take it to the dealer. say the article says trail rated and that they need to fix it to make it trail ready. if the ad shows that it can do it and you do it and it screws the jeep up... then it aint trail rated. false advertisement. simply tell them fix it or lawsuite.
If you have another manual trans vehicle try this, take it out on a hill and just shut it off while in first gear. Take your foot off the brake and just sit there. Let it roll a little bit and see how far you roll in x amount of time. Then do the same thing in Reverse, and test it out.
The main reason I pointed that out was because someone said something about putting in 3rd gear when they parked. That's not good.
If I am on a hill I don't trust just my gears, and I don't trust just my e-brake. I want it in the lowest gearing and I want I want the e-brake working as well. I have put it in 4lo and in Reverse (in the TJ) and set the park brake before just so I had an extra piece of mind that it wasn't going to go rolling off on me.

Wow this explains why I can drive up my driveway easier forwards than reverse, it had me stuffed, didn't realise the gear ratios were unusual.
