Default Went Up Saxon Mountain today June 5

Got up to 10,455 feet and there was a drift over the road that made going further impossible.

Very nice day though, about 70 degrees even at 10,000 feet! There was so much smoke coming up from the fires in Arizona that you could smell it, not to mention the haze it caused.

The snow has caused a lot of new rock falls and the road is always rough early in the year.

But any ride beats no ride at all. So between 10k and 11k we can still expect snow.

Default Spring Creek

Just got word that Spring creek is now clear all the way up, I am doing some work on my rig at the moment but want to get back out to that trail and finish what I started. If there is any interest I will start a thread.

Spring Creek? Excellent!

If I'm around (Saturday?) I'd be up for that.

Don't think I will have my rig put back together that soon still working on some stuff, but it will be for me at least 4 weeks since I work weekends :( I will start a thread about it soon then after I know for sure when I can possibly go.

Went up to Montezuma today. Tried to get up Saints John. Did not get 2 miles before it became impassable for snow. Big avalanche.

Spoke to a fellow who had tried Deer Park and Webster this morning. Also still heavily snowed in before he got more than a couple miles up the trail.

So we tried Santa Fe Peak. Also still blocked by snow at about 11100 feet.

They were still skiing at A Basin. There is a tremendous amount of snow that has just not melted yet.
