Even got the high end unit that has a digital display of the gauges that you can change to match the color of the jeep. But sadly now I will be shipping it to Africa for my next posting for two years, and it isn't allowed in country so out it goes, lol...
do you have pics?

Pretty basic install of a Cobra19. I used a Cooltech mic bracket. Had the same setup on my 07JK

One thing to be careful of is that the straight side of the insulated wire loops must go on the outside of the footman loop or the spacing will be too short to match the slotted hoes in the CB bracket. This mount puts the CB closer to the windshield so the antenna cable has to turn tighter and it isn't as pretty as my Misch bracket was, but it's functionally better to be able to use the footman loop. Solid as a rock.

You can also see my ham remote head mounted with sticky back Velcro on the visor, perfect position for it and it's extremely lightweight.
Very nice, I have my FT2900 mounted above the mirror, but not to the footmans loop. I am going to do it like that, it will move the radio a couple inches more away from the windshield. Thanks for posting this and the pictures are worth 1000 words, as they say..Thanks, Mike W7MCM

I ended up swapping it out with a Galaxy DX-959. The Uniden was spot on using SSB and no drifting, but most people have an open clarifier on their radio so it was basically useless. Performance wise it sounded decent on AM and great on SSB. They are doing all kinds of neat stuff now, the Uniden 980 was compatible with their wireless speaker/mic with a range of 300'. I could see this being very useful for spotting purposes.

I just can't argue with how good the 959 sounds on AM.

I've seen a few JK's with this neat
Dash adaptor extension to hold the mic
For their all-in-one (in the mic) CB radio.
Anybody know who has then or where I
Can get one?
Thanks

I used the Smittybilt Molle overhead console, folded the canvas in half, and mounted mine there

I just cut out and trimmed my factory overhead plastic, and used the two factory bolts that are centered. I tried a few aftermarket brackets but the CB jumps and hops around to much. I even added extra support to the aftermarket brackets and wasn't liking the movement when Offroad.
