Default Invest2m4's broke the budget build; tons, 40s and triangles...

MI winter is fast approaching, so it's time to start the build. The Jeep (affectionately known as Hofftimus Prime) started life as a 2013 JK Sport. This will be the third full build in its short life. If you're curious to know the mod list prior to this build, see my profile, it is pretty up to date.

The fun began today. This morning, nice and clean. Dang those 40s make my 37s look small. And this afternoon, all pulled apart (still need to remove the gas tank, bumpers, and exhaust, but I am rolling solo in the garage and got a bit tired).

Probably a good time to provide some teaser to the build. Partial mod list:

- Axles: D60 and Sterling 10.5 off of a 2010 Ford F350 (72" WMS to WMS)

- Suspension setup: Double triangulated four link rear, 3 link front

- Stretch: 7" rear, 5" front (still hydro assist; wait for the magic)

- Articulation department: 16" ORI STX struts all around

- Gas tank: relocated to a sneaky place so that I can still use the rear seat and have storage

All fabrication done by me.

A huge thanks to an engineer/friend/Jeep god, for creating a working CAD model of the build. Talk about saving me some serious time!!! This guys talents are insane. Enjoy the few sneak peeks. And yes, that is a 40" tire 50" off the ground with all others on the ground. Ignore the body, it would be a bad use of time to comp cut a picture.

Definitely. Expect a couple questions from me at some point. I liked a couple things you did in your build.

Haha, doubt it. Winters are long here, so I have about 5 months before I have any interest in driving it again.

Before I forget, I owe you and a few other forum members a big thanks for answering a bazillion questions I've asked. Not sure I would have done this if not for the "Half ass build thread."

I'm also thankful that Dirtman doesn't charge a consulting fee. I'd be broke and he'd be rich. Thanks Dirtman.

Good people, good times.
