Maybe I'm missing something here. I've driven manuals all my live. Been off road with every one of them (not rocking, just off road). No doubt I prefer the manual but hate the 3.21's in my Sahara coupled with the V-6. I think its a fair combination but no where near the old TJ combinations. Those with Rubi's may have found a better set up with their 4.10's but i still think the Sahara is geared to high even in low, low in some situations. It certainly does not have the low end torque it used to have. I've considered auto next time but I'm not sure that will be any better.

I'm a lazy flapdoodle who enjoys the convenience of the automatic. I test drove a 2010 6-speed and it was
FUN! That said I appreciate the versatility of the manual but prefer the sandwich-while-wheeling affordability of the auto. I'm not a maniac however, so all you crazies will love the manual.

The math is correct as it was stated. 6 is 50% more than 4, but 4 is 33% less than 6. That's why when your stock drops 33% it has to rise 50% before you get even. It's all in the nuances of how it is stated. Like all statistics it's all in the presentation. As Disraeli said "Lies, D*mn Lies, and Statistics" quoted by Mark Twain in his autobiography.
Of course, it was all meant as a joke anyway. And you get 33% more pedals.

Or is that 50% more pedals. Both are correct, but you won't sell as many widgets if you use the smaller number. And the whole capitalist world will implode into a singularity.
