Very nice! I'm saving for the or fab myself...lots of places to explore over here and the Gerry cans would extend my range by quite a bit. I have an old bantam army trailer I want to build up too so I'm weighing the pros and cons of which I want to focus on. I bet there's a lot of great spaces to explore down in Florida and the rest of the south...I'd like to take a road trip through the Deep South someday...show my girls the rest of the country the right way...and end up on one of those famous Florida beaches.

Bestop has a pretty nice cargo system coming out for the spare tire...think half spare tire cover with MOLLE-ish bags attached to it. Google "Bestop Spare Tire Organizer". Depending on how much weight those pouches can hold, I'll be moving all my recovery gear to that and free up interior cargo space. Gotta get creative since I've taken the Gobi off.

... Anybody that wants to know what an expedition rig can, should or dream to be, should attend the Overland Expo. I took so many amazing classes there last year and every single one of them was incredibly useful, and the trucks in attendance are mind blowing.

BTW: The friend with the Land Rover Defender in some of my pics has attended Overland Expo before. He and I are planning to attend this year. Maybe we will see you there?

Mark, I just picked up the trasharoo yesterday also, should be able to get both it and the bestop organizer to work together, but I'll find out when it come in. Looking at an interior cargo rack now, especially the Kilby, but not sure if it will work with the trektop NX.

After seeing this rig, I am rethinking my lighting strategy. I have been in the process of converting to LEDs. I have the JW Speaker headlights and fog lights, Recon turn signals and side markers, and two Rigid D2's and two Duallys on the rear along with the Anzo tail lights. I am planning on replacing all my PIAAs with Rigid LEDs, a 40" on the front of the Gobi (which I am converting to a Stealth) then a 10" Rigid on the loop and to D2's in front of the A pillars.
I must confess, I like the looks of the round lights. Of course, they don't put out as much light as the LEDs. I have had more than a couple of episodes of getting stuck on a trail after dark, and plenty of times setting up camp in the dark. I don't think you can have too much light.
So the question is "looks or lumens?" Any opinions?

A lot of ruckus was raised when Jeep came out with the YJ. Many longtime Jeepers still don't consider them "real Jeeps" (I'm neither a longtime Jeeper, nor of that opinion). But, I like the Jeep for its classic looks. That's why most of us like the Jeep, it's probably safe to say. The square and rectangular lighting arrangements may be the better lighting option, but they just look odd on a Jeep. Maybe it's the next generation poking up its head. Maybe square headlights will make a comeback on the Jeep. But, until then, I'd say you can get plenty of lumens with round lights.
