I haven't added it up yet and not sure if I want to honestly. Kinda hard to buy a Jk even if it was wrecked and cut it in half basically. It's far from complete. Does have 42s under it and matching rims to future Jk build. Trailer has 4 link suspension also! It's a little over kill.

Even if I did, the RTT isn't too top heavy to explore with.
Question... why the RTT on the JK vs the trailer? Wouldn't you get better mileage, less noise, easier access, and the ability to leave it at a camp site should you choose, if it was on the trailer? Also, why wouldn't you leave the trailer? If you had the ability to lock it up (I plan on using a pintle lock, and a cable lock around a wheel to prevent it from being rolled away), would you have it off the JK?

Overkill? No such word in the jeep community. Especially in the expedition community. Full steam ahead bud, good luck with the finish you should make a thread when done.

So that's an actual JK wow kudos to staying true to style in your build. If I were to do this I think my pocket book could only justify a wrecked TJ. Or even a Willys tub.

I am always on the move when I bring my trailer so I never leave it parked alone. On tough trips, I leave the trailer at home...this is when the RTT above the JK pays off. I actually like the higher sleep position and get a bunch of extra square footage with the annex (kids and dog sleep there). I'm not concerned about mileage...I only get 12 MPG as it is with the hemi. Also, I can get stuff out of the trailer while camping without having to take down the tent....very useful in the morning when I cook breakfast while the wife is still asleep! Having tried both configurations, I find this is the one that works for me. Others like their tents on their trailers, but I don't see how that would work with NTXRubi's dome top trailer with doors that open upwards.

Well after a couple weeks of waiting for parts to arrive... I can finally post a picture of the Nexus 7 setup - which I quite happily stole from Mark Doiron (thanks Mark!). It moves more than I'd like... but as Mark said... it's really not an issue as you can still easily read everything - it's just annoying - how much so I guess I'll see over the coming weeks. Zoomed in on the navigator I'm using, I can still read street names with no issues. I'll likely change the nav app, as I don't like how it originates the screen (it'll show me going down, so that whats on the left of the screen is on the right on the road).

Total cost for this...just over $400 with the 4G 32GB tablet, mounts (Cooltech mount, Ram mounts), case and shipping. I'm happy with it.

Edit... stupid camera's... pictures make my jeep look MUCH dirtier than it really is. I swear!
