Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
got a bunch more pictures, some of Eagles, Grizzlies & cubs, Male Moose, Mountain Sheep, but the lack of great internet hook up limited my picture loading, so they are on here

Your rig looks good!
Thanks. That's one of the reasons I still don't have the stock fenders (I also needed clearance to fit my 33s pre-lift). I do plan on having a local welding shop make a new piece for them to widen them to try and keep it cleaner (I'm tired of cleaning tons of mud off of the jeep). Would be trying to follow the bumper lines while getting out enough to cover most of a 12.5" tire (mine are currently 13.5" wide).
Trailer isn't ready. Company shipped the wrong axle... am waiting to hear back about what the ETA is to get the replacement there. I'll be waiting to leave (it's roughly a 10 hr drive from here) until it's done or very close to being done. Hopefully it's later next week, so I can still fit 2 weeks in before having to be back in Whitehorse. Worse case I'll go there to grab the trailer, and come straight back, then go for 2 weeks in late August.

Well as my Alaska trip has been delayed, I decided to take the trailer and the new tent out camping this weekend. Performed like a champ. Had a great time. Also figured out that some changes need to happen. Some minor... some not quite minor.

A couple observations... mattress isn't good enough, so will have to work on adding something to that. Ladder still sucks (have ordered a new one). But despite getting into the beer/booze, I only knocked the ladder off the tent once! New ladder will have some way to latch it on so it won't come out, and that doesn't happen... because being half in the bag and fishing for the ladder with your foot blows. Also... Tent seems unstable. Tiny movements will rock the whole trailer. I'm not sure if it's because the weight is ~5-6 inches higher (plus the weight of the top that's 3 feet higher), or because I don't have the ladder supporting a portion of the weight of the tent (like my Teupi), Or that my tent is length wise with the trailer verse width wise like the Tepui was - or some combination of all 3. Will see about talking to a few others on here with these types of tents to see if they have this issue, and how their setup is to attempt to deal with it. It's not a huge issue... but it is annoying. For just myself I can deal with it... but couldn't imagine if I had some company in there... it would either be more annoying, or very obvious as to what's going on, and would give a new meaning to "if the tent is ah-rocking, don't come knocking".
Also noticed when traveling with it that having a tall lid (8-10 inches?) and the tent 5-6 inches off the lid (rack height) that it's fairly top heavy. I had initially planned on taking this trailer as is down on a weekend wheeling trip in BC and pulling it down the trail (one I've never been on). Unless I have someone with me (co-pilot) to aid with spotting the trailer and ensuring I don't flop it, I'm not sure I'm going to take it down. Now I know why people want a low COG. I know I could change the lid (I've wanted a metal one anyway) that's lower, and have a new rack made that's also lower... but with just buying a teardrop I don't want to spend any more money on this before I know what exactly I'm going to do with both of them. I also don't have any free funds (due to TD) to make those changes right now anyway.
