This is a super nice stove that comes with the Adventure Trailers. He just needs one with the gas inlet on the other side of the stove (which they also make) for his trailer build. So I'm buying his old one. I intend to get one of the five pound bottles, probably with that rack I mentioned above. And, like you, I intend to mount it outside the vehicle. Still have to figure that out. FYI: Not sure if it's state law of DOT reg, but I've heard you're not supposed to carry the tanks in unventilated and/or occupied vehicle compartments. Probably wouldn't ever be a problem, but better safe than sorry.
ok mark thanks for your response on this matter, yea it may be law but i wouldn't want it on the inside anyways. i've already got an idea in mind where id like it I just got to figure how to get it to stay where i want it. may have to go to home depot for some inspiration. I guess we are both going into no mans land right now so i guess if i find a great break threw i'll make sure to share it on here.

I just picked up the Harbor Freight 40.5x48 trailer (1,000 lbs rated) to build up. It has 4 bolt wheels. Does anybody know what the spindle is so that I can pick up some 5 bolt hubs for it?

Also any links to any build threads using this trailer would be helpfull as I want to learn as much as possible prior to my build.

On the wranglerforum there are some hf trailer build threads. I've been planning on doing one eventually. Looks like people buy a whole new axle with that's wider, for bigger tires.

Agreed.... You can get a custom 3500lb axle for under $200.

I built my own trailer and made my own axle. Was easier and able to make the axle exactly the size and width you are looking for!

Anybody got any pics of their front bumper w/out winches? Im not a fan of owning a winch (wouldn't use it often enough to justify buying one) but i would like a nice bumper and can't find any bumpers without that big ol' hole for a winch.

I'd like to see some

Couple pics of my Expo JKU. Can't do a roof rack because it won't fit in the garage :( But I think I got all the other essentials of an adventure vehicle.

Getting kitted up for exploring Australia and camping

I put the hard top back and took the feet of my ProRack HD bars and attached them straight to the Q track on the roof, this has lowered the roof rack profile quite a bit, I then put my Yakima Mega Warrior basket on top.

I now plan to make a roof rack that will suit both tops using the Mega Warrior basket as the tray, I will fab it up with the hard top on but make it high enough to clear the soft top too. Plan is to mount of the tub mounts that the hard top bolts too and make it so that the Mega Warrior bolts to the hoops that go over the Jeep, im thinking of using a light bar braket for the front and attach the Mega Warrior to it.

I was really hanging out for Sharpwrx roof rack as they are fantastic but cant justify the money this year and I need a rack to go camping off road with my 2 door so figured Ill use what I have a go from there.

I'm running the AEV tubeless front bumper with the winch cover plate. No winch and it looks very good IMO.
