Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
Just returned from a few days in the Gila National Forest, NM. Two Xterras and my Jeep, so please pardon the pics with the Nissans ...

Enroute to our meet-up in Socorro, my traveling companion (he owns the 2012 JK from Washington you may have seen in some of my videos) and I would make a couple detours, visiting White Sands NM and Carlsbad Caverns ...

The group together would also visit the Very Large Array radio astronomy observatory and the Gila Cliff Dwellings NM ...

It was a great trip. The pass to Mogollon Ghost Town would stop us from making our planned stop there--about 14" of snow at about 9,000 feet when we had to turn back. There was another JK expected to make the run, but the owner was called to jury duty right before the traveling dates.

Got some more of the cargo area of my Jeep finished yesterday with some help from a couple friends ...
Installed nutserts to secure the aluminum baseplate to the cargo floor ...

Drilled and tapped baseplate to mount fridge slide and drawer ...

Mounted drawer to baseplate ...

Finished. There are a pair of straps to secure the fridge to the slide.

Now to finish the install of the interior rack--tomorrow ...

what is the height from the Jeep floor to the top of the ARB fridge, I might add one later, but want to build a interior shelf for the back of my Jeep now. 18" clears my Yeti, but I am guessing that the fridge is taller.

about this time of year I start looking for things to change, in most cases just because I'm tired of the way they are and just want to try a new setup. So, right now I have a roof rack that I'm thinking about taking off. I usually have my trailer and I really don't put that much stuff on the roof. I think I can get by with a trail rack on my tire carrier. Would some of you with this type of rack post a few pictures? I was wondering if there are any draw backs to the trail rack concept vs. the roof rack? Have you ever seen one with the tire off center with jerry cans mounted on just one side?

What map did you use?
A friend and I had planned this trip last year, but the fires stopped us from doing it.
