Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
Welcome to our little corner of JKF. There is not only this thread, which welcomes all who run Expedition rigs, but another specific to two doors. You might find some useful info over there as well ...

Welcome to the forums! The rack I have for my 2 door is the Barricade one from extremeterrains website. I got it Black Friday for around $240 and I think it's around there now. For the price it's a very sturdy rack. Haven't had any problems with rust throughout the winter (on since December) and was very easy to install.

Hello everyone, I am new here and new to the JK though I have owned several Jeeps in the past. I love the expedition set ups that you guys have and I would like to slowly work in that direction. I purchased the Jeep used in September of 2014 it is a Silver 2 door 2012 COD MW3 Edition Rubicon.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions

I want to slowly make additions to the Jeep and would like suggestions from you guys. First I would like to get proper length shocks for my lift (I am thinking Blistein 5100's or Old Man Emu). Next I want to add some armor. I am mainly interested in engine and transmission skids and maybe an evaporator skid (is this needed?).

I have the evo protek skid system, covers everything nicely. Also the poison Spyder evap skid cover.

Mine was good until it rusted, and was tough as hell to close. Then when I told Teraflex about it, they wanted to charge my card for a new one, while I wait for them to ship it to me, and then ship mine back. Only after they got mine back would I get my money back. Pretty poor customer service if you ask me. I can understand wanting to charge while they wait to get mine back, but the full price of a new one? No way. Also I would have had to pay for shipping back to them.
Installed a 2.5" Rock Krawler lift on Sunday. In total it took about 9 hours start to finish to install the lift, front and rear trackbars, exhaust spacers and wheel spacers. Not too bad if you ask me.
My nephews and my girlfriend were helpers getting us wrenches and sockets as we needed them. My brother and I did most of the install, and a buddy of mine came over just in time to start the rear.
I gained about 3.5-4" up front and about 2.5 in the rear. It sits surprisingly level though.

Comparing stock to Rock Krawler.

Got the wheels off, and ready to start taking it apart.

I have no idea what exactly I'm taking apart here, but it's more tear down.

All removed.

Gotta love rust on a 3 week old vehicle.

New springs in.

New springs and shocks in.

Front done.

Rear all taken apart and ready to go.

Springs and shocks in.

Rear done.

View from the rear.
Still don't have a side shot. Hopefully get one soon.
