Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
I'm glad this helped. A similar arrangement of 2 or 3 smaller floods or diffused LEDs at the rear of the roof rack makes reversing much easier. As less distance is needed, they can also be aimed down, around 40 to 60 degrees. This way they don't blind drivers behind you, and shed nice light spread for camping. The same light, when offered as either flood or diffused, the diffused will give wider spread but less light per square feet, and will also look less blinding.

Merry Christmas!
Awesome trip Mark, great memories and fantastic photos. Those views out there were amazing!
A few photos from Anza Borrego Desert State Park and Carrizo Mtn these past few days ... BTW, for those headed out that way: Sandstone Canyon has a new rockfall. A huge boulder is blocking the trail right where it starts to get narrow and winding.

Funny you should ask, just used mine for first time in long time while driving last night headed back from shooting sunset at Font's Point. So fresh in my mind what those lights are really useful for: 1. Setting up camp at night. 2. Water fording when other lights might get splashed and crack (if glass), or are underwater. Note I didn't say "driving back from Font's Pt". LOL. They light up the hood and are too distracting. Of course, I have the shovel and axe. They worked great before I had them up front, when set back at front of basic MBRP rack (check old pics in this thread). Set back there, long range lights are best. At front, if 1 and 2 apply to you, I'd recommend floods. Oh, the trip to Font's Pt was worth it ...
Awesome Picture Mark!
Yes it is. David L. (Taco driver) took these pics. Some nimcumpoop thought he should try his luck getting over said Boulder.
