Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
The third day of our Anza Borrego trip is now online. On this day we venture outside of the park proper to BLM land at Carrizo Mountain. Desert Fox and I had traveled up there last year with Tom H as our guide. But it was wet and foggy, so we didn't see very much of the surrounding countryside. Well, what a difference clear weather makes!
Note that, as always, our videos are made for best viewing experience on a real HDTV with a decent sound system. It really does make a difference.

Great video Mark. Wow that was one narrow, spooky rocky trail. I know you aired down but did you end up having to disconnect the sway bars or use your rear lockers? I'm hoping to drive Anzo Borrego in the very near future. Looks like fun.
I did not disconnect the sway bar or lock either axle.
LOL, I really should let Fred (Desert Fox) answer that. But compare the 2014 Carrizo video to this one. Fred ran a Sahara in 2014, and a Rubi in 2015. Both essentially stock. I think better tires would be useful, especially in the damp like 2014.
Lol. I remember that video. Okay, I should have stated slightly modified - better tires, 1.5" leveling kit, and improved shocks.
Edit: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I've heard of inexperienced off-roaders getting into trouble in this area. Any new driver would do well to get their early experience on some of the easier trails in ABDSP before tackling Carrizo Mtn.

You should be fine, especially on a dry, clear day. Edit: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I've heard of inexperienced off-roaders getting into trouble in this area. Any new driver would do well to get their early experience on some of the easier trails in ABDSP before tackling Carrizo Mtn.
Thanks. Next one in the queue: Los Coyotes Indian Reservation. Since I'm stuck at home for a couple days I'll be working on this post haste. And then I drove through Box Canyon after leaving Anza Borrego Desert SP. Shot some video and stills, but it is just a paved road through a rather neat area. What do you guys think, worth doing? It will be pretty short--probably five or six minutes tops.
