i did a short spin in the sub ... but no real driving. its still salvage.

Ensure the steering is centered. Check all the abs and tone ring connections as well as fuses. Also if you havent done it yet, unplug the battery for more than 10 min.

If none of those work then drive it greater than 30mph for about 15-20 min and they should shut off. If they dont you have bigger issues.

With the JKs, most people are running 4.88s or lower with 35s. I drive with the 4.88s/35" w/6spd and it seems perfect to me. Highly recommend it! It is brings it back to a much more manageable vehicle.

Your steering needs to be centered both while driving and as equal wheel to wheel lock.

1. Drop your drag ling at the pitman arm.

2. Steering wheel all the way left, then all the way right, half the total amount of turns back left.

3. Recenter pitman arm on shaft if neccassary (probably not) reattach draglink.

4. Use draglink adjustment (two 15mm nuts) to fine tune wheel centering.

If you wheel is off more than about 5degrees from center while driving straight your ESP/BAS will come on. Recentering your wheel may help emensly in fixing this

If you are confident the pitman arm is properly centered on the sector shaft then you can skip those steps and go straight to the draglink adjustment.

Looking good, what is the total investment in parts (and the host) so far?

Do the saharas come with those silver vent rings? If so I need to score a set, my paint job did not come out too great on my stock x ones :(

IMO the biggest weak link are the stock TRE's. I think if you ensure everything is centered (wheel, steering, etc) disconnect the battery for about 20-30 min and then go for a leisurley drive the system should reset itself.

If it doesnt reset use the manual to get the computer to flash you all the trouble codes.

paid $4500 for the jeep, and right now i'm on par to be at or below $6500 in parts including the new wheels/tires.

the whole short drive thing ... that i can't do unless i put it on jack stands and in 4x4. however i do plan to have the computer re-set before take it for inspection.

i keep thinkin something has to be wrong as to why it's not centered ... but i can't find anything visibly wrong

i also don't have any books ... how do i get it to flash?

Try this:

http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...-end-alignment

I am at work so I don't have my manual with me, but it is one of those key turn, wheel turn, step on pedal codes to get it to display the codes down where the milage ussualy is. One of the other members may e able to help you out.
