Default looks great

passengers side too/ went drivers side only on my 2 door

the j clip seems the hardest part

I wonder if a super siphon hose would drain jerry can w/out having to remove the can. To gas tank of the jeep, it would seem higher than the gas tank on the jeep ? Anyone try that yet?

J-clip was a pain in the neck. Or somewhere.

I got the passenger side, because that's all that was available, but Retrofit Offroad just shipped the drivers side bracket today!

Wanted 10 gallons or more of additional fuel. This seemed like an excellent way to accomplish that.

I like having the weight between the axles, instead of just hanging more weight off the back bumper/tailgate.

I bought two of the wavian cans . But i know id never need both cans on there for my travels . It would be just a lot more $ and not get used . but if you do long runs a lot both mounts will be nice post photo when you add both on there . See how it looks on the 2 door both sides

The fender dosent budge u can get scratches trying to put it on ( J clip ) if not careful even with all the bolts removed said to remove in directions. Dont use a prybar either you could buckle the sheet metal. just work that clip at a angle chissling it on and tapping it over to the proper location for the bolt ! started thinkin it might require removing the whole drivers side of the jeep to gain access and remove motor and windshield

but once you get it down to this point it should go easy

LOL! I didn't get to that point...

But yeah, the J-clip is a bit of a pain. Everything else was easy-peasy, which is GREAT considering my non-mechanical aptitude...

Flush bolt heads like this would probably fix it! I'm still thinking of just adding a second pair of bump stops near the bottom so the can isn't able to move at all.
Sounds like a good idea - I'll talk to the engineers at the company about possibly adding an additional bumper towards the bottom in future production runs.

Get the cap wrench for it to tighten it down and the regular walk-by thief won't have a chance getting the cap off to steal/siphon off your go juice.

Glad I bought mine 4-5 years ago because the prices today on flea-bay have definitely gotten up there....

.
Speaking of Scepter containers, someone on another forum just installed his side-mount and he's got a Scepter container in it...

Sweet. Lookin' good! Delivery on these are taking forever lol

Regardless of what can is chosen, I'm just glad you came out with the design. This frees up so much room inside the 2-door. Now I've got options for putting tools in a small pelican case or even a sceptor water jug in one of these mounts and not have to deal with adding more junk on the rear carrier or taking up space inside. Plus I've got more mileage range now when needed.

The black on white looks good though. I may have to paint a couple of my sceptors gloss black lol
