The Problem.
Yea but a fully loaded Sahara was about the same as a basic rubicon....Not the rubi's are basic...you know what I mean.
In the long run it is cheper to just get the Dana 44 in the front and a set of lockers of your choice in the end. That's my opinion.
"My Sahara isnt loaded, not really.
No electronics package i didnt want the e-locks or windows, dont care about the alarm or remote start etc.
I got it cheap enough, figured i'd upgrade later.
It would be cheaper.... but i dont have a D44 in the back, so i need both. thats about $3500(Mopar with all the goodies). Not for the feint of wallet."
I did not type this. That is not what I said happyCurmudgeon and I see that you edited it @ 2:14PM. I am not cheap, I have a mortagage and my 07 Sahra cost around $30,000
Please do not state that I said something I didn't. I DID get my Sahara with the power options, windows, locks, and does have a DANA44 in the rear and Dana 30 in the front, dual top, mygig, 4.10
s, tow package and everything else.
You didn't buy MY Jeep so don't assume.
That's messed up you changed my post and the information you changed it to was incorrect.

I hit the edit button instead of reply, when i noticed i typed my reply in your post, i went back and took it out. I thought i edited it back to your original content.
My appologies. I dont go around editing peoples post save removing links as per the rules.

Again, i didnt assume anything, i simply typed my response accidentally into yours.
This was MY RESPONSE to bodybrdng's post, he did not type this:

the 07 Sahara has Dana 44 in the rear though
Maybe I should highjack threads with "How dare you spend $1500 on a new bumper/winch combo, when that amount could feed 125 starving kids in Africa for a year." Don't you know? Kids that don't grow up donating money to save lives in Africa turn out terribly, I can't believe your parents didn't teach you that!!!
Doesnt bother me to leave it up, i screwed up, simple as that.
THe early '07's used up some D35's. I have one! woohoo.... NOT

There's a pic of it in my project jk album.
Hey everybody! it's Taco Tuesday! There has to be a place somewhere near where you live that has $1 tacos on Tuesdays. Lets all leave the forum for a while and get some tacos. Everyone will be in a much better mood after they have filled their bellies with the greatest gift our neighbors to the south could have ever bestowed upon us.
Yaaaay! Tacos
Yaaaay! Tacos

I got mine in May 07. Hope it has the Dana 44 rear

Anyway: If you don't off road why do you want a Rubicon?

Well folks, let me post a little bit on this topic (BOY HOWDY HOW DID I MISS THIS).
To the original question, perfectly natural for you to want the Rubi, and you should get it if that is what you want. However, if your really going to Alaska for sure, recomend the stick vs the auto. you will find out when you get there as to why. Further, you won't want more than a couple of inches lift. Ice does nasty things to lifted jeeps.
Anyway, now to the meat. I CAN afford to buy my son (17) a new jeep if I so choose. He is a responsible young man, he works hard, takes care of many many chores and does what I ask of him when I ask, no questions ever.
My son loves jeeps, in fact, he wrecked looking at one recently. The truth is though, he cannot afford on his salary. IOW DAD won't make the whole payment. My son pays half his insurance and half his car payment and the ENTIRE deductable on his wreck (cool grand).
I do not agree that giving a young person whatever they wish just because you can afford it is proper.
However, if you have it like that, enjoy it. No hard feelings, it is your parents money, they can spend it on you if they like.

No offense, but so what if you don't agree with parents buying their kids whatever they want? Did he ask you? Your view is no more "right" than the next, and stating it when not asked will surely only increase the off-topic, offensive uselessness that this thread has become.
No offense bodybrdng, but I don't think Taco Bell counts. I am not saying it is a bad taco I am just saying it is not as good as other people's tacos. I want the perfect taco!
I feel sorry for you that Maryland doesn't have better taco choices. Here in California there is a taco stand on every corner. I guess I am spoiled. My parents moved from Maryland before I was born, leaving the crabcakes behind. That is why my parents must love me more, because they have given me the opportunity to live in a taco heaven.
Now that I have had a perfectly good taco (3 actually) I think I might want to upgrade to an enchilada. I will keep it plain for a while, not long though, I will need to add cheese to it soon.
What are your thoughts?
