The Problem.
BSW: Bull Sh!t tires....just kidding
I stuck up for you in the begining but you made some bad statements.
Sorry but that is a f'ed up response. It's not misfortune, it's responsibility.
First statement: i agree 100%
2nd Statement: is a flat out ignorent statement. You can not say they are helping your start your life the "RIGHT WAY". I disagree. I came from a very wealthy family but was raised that you have to work for what you want. I moved out at 18 BY CHOICE so I could start my life the "RIGHT WAY" my first car was a POS sunfire with a 100,000 miles on it, my parents very easily afforded a BMW 5series for me. Instead I had to bust my ass to get where I am and I appricate what I have. 25 I own my own house, Jeep, both are in my name only, and a full time career. I am not married but soon will be. I wanted to get my life together first.
I have also been working since I was 13 because my parents instilled a good work ethic in me. That if you want something in life then you have to bust your ass to get it. Not have it handed to you.
Keep the Sahara, make monthly payments, finish college, get a good career, then you buy what you want.
Back on topic: Would I get rid of my Sahara for a Rubi.......HELL NO. I have put too much blood, sweat, time, money, and mud in to it.
If you LOVE your jeep then you would even think of trading it. If you don't then get the Rubi. Best thing to do is not ask others but ask yourself as you will be driving it. Now you said your self that you don't off road really...So why do you want a rubi???

I started with nothing myself, after getting married to quick/young losing a house and a few careers along the way and restarting my life all over again... I still have most of my nothing left. *L* When i go to bed at night, it is with a clear conscience, a dry roof, a warm bed, and the kids are fed. I'm not rich monetarily, I dont care, never will be, if you are, great!, if not, great! That's life. change what you can, accept the rest and laugh at yourself. Be happy.
My parents didnt have the cash to help me out, had to do it all by my lonesome. Pretty proud of where i am myself, but that isnt what this thread was originally about, it is starting to slide and people are getting upset.
Probably would been better to leave out the whole "parents bought it for me" part and just said you can easily afford to get a Rubi, should you? woulda saved a lot of grief.
I dont want to see this one go south, so lets not take it all to personally on either side of the coin please?

i almost got a rubi but decided not too because i dont rock crawl all the time...i like the jeep more for mudding, camping, and cruising....so i saved alot by going with the X. i think the rubi is more for the avid jeep offroader.....but all jeeps can go offroad...the rubi is just the one that can handle pretty much anything

Yea but a fully loaded Sahara was about the same as a basic rubicon....Not the rubi's are basic...you know what I mean.
In the long run it is cheper to just get the Dana 44 in the front and a set of lockers of your choice in the end. That's my opinion.

I am very angry with this statement. You are saying those who don't have wealthy parents are started off some way other than right!? I don't know how this can be more backwards. People who are not given everything...myself included take what their learned from their parents and build successful meaningful lives every day. I was not handed everything I needed...I WORKED for it. I don't know how many different stories I've heard about wealthy kids taking advantage of what they are given...and why their parents keep giving is beyond me. -I'm not saying this is your case but a worse case scenario...don't ever assume that because someone is wealthy, that they started out that way or that they where necessarily raised "correctly".
To the original question: Your Jeep looks bad @$$ the way it is, unless there are issues with its ability and what your doing with it I see no need to change. Then again I have a "lowly" X model that I am making payments and am more than impressed with when off road even in its stock form.

When i said "start off right" i did not mean to say it as if the only correct way to start life was with money, but that a good strong way to start it is to start it without deabt, with a good reliable car and good credit. Not to say that everyone can have this, but i am lucky enough to and it really makes me mad that so many people can get so upset with me because what my parents decide to give me. What else can i give other than an apology? regardless of how thankful i am of what i have, people will always be jealous and cruel. If what i said offended you i am sorry i did not mean for it to do so, its just the way some of the people reacted was ridiculous and i was so mad but at the same time i was trying not to be mean, but i guess it came out that way anyway.
Again i really am sorry if it came across as wrong, especially to putnam dan because you were very nice and i was very thankful you would stick up for me in the beggining and im sorry to have let you down. Its just when i have to hear it so many times that im so spoiled etc. what else do i do? Afterall this post shouldnt have even came to what it was. i simple wanted to know about jeep prefrence and know it seems everyone wants an appology for me being very fortunate...Im sorry if it upset you guys.
I ask for some advice for what jeep people prefer or what they would do in my shoes....and somehow people have to digg into my personal life...
I mean what else do you say when someone is so rude? He had no reason to bring a rude statement into this forum. I see now that my state ment in return could have been more polite as well... but its mans nature to get mad, just like its mans nature to get jelous i guess...
My Sahara isnt loaded, not really.
No electronics package i didnt want the e-locks or windows, dont care about the alarm or remote start etc.
I got it cheap enough, figured i'd upgrade later.

It would be cheaper.... but i dont have a D44 in the back, so i need both. thats about $3500(Mopar with all the goodies). Not for the feint of wallet.
