Why the 2 door?
There are times I thought of getting the 4 door but I am happy that I got the 2. I don't have kids, had a long time girlfriend and that was it so no need for the 2 extra seats in the TJ. Others can take a 2nd vehicle
No more lady and single so my JK is 2door as well. Took out the back seat the first week I got the Jeep just like with my TJ.

I have read through all of the posts for the "why the unlimited" thread and can't help but think to myself why the 2 door?
I am not trying to be an a-hole as the original poster of the other thread wasn't, it is simply a valid question for me. It seems to me that all JK's are quite capable, so if you could have more room for family, friends and gear why wouldn't you buy the unlimited? On top of the room, it also tows more and I am sure will go through snow better. With all of this being said, are they that much better off road and going through tight spaces, or is it just that they were originally built as two doors, so they should never be changed?

OK Ok Ok, My 3 year old loves to go for rides, but my wife has only been in it 3 times. Once on the ride back from the dealership when I bought it and twice on fathers day. The pax seat is brand spanking new on my 2010 with 19,000 miles. LOL

Walking into the dealership, I thought to myself, 2dr. But than I thought a little harder and figured it wouldn't work for me. Having to always haul my army shit around, including my buddies and thier shit as well (im trying to turn it into my own, Armoured personal carrier) The price was a little high but I decided to "bite the bullet" on this one.
2dr, 4dr who gives a shit, just f*ckin' give'er

Got my 2-door because I love the classic Jeep look it has. I was hesitant at first about the look of a 4-door, but having seen several around town with and without doors, it has really grown on me.
From an off-roading standpoint, I always thought the 2dr would do better because of it's tighter turn radius, shorter wheel-base (less chance of high-centering) and lighter weight. Is this true? You hard-core wheelers out there will need to edjamacate me on that one

Imo the four door looks wimpy without 37's or larger.
