Thanx.... It took us a good 12 hours to do snorkel and winch but well worth it. It also helps if you and a friend can both turn a wrench... It sounds like a turbo every time I shift....

hmmm... I like it! without the use of the stock airbox you could still potentially run a dual battery set up. Where did you get the inline air box from and how much was it? you noticed any mpg or horsepower improvements?

The in-line airbox was purchased from racemart.com if I remember correctly. I originally found it on spectreperformance.com for $90 but found it cheaper at racemart for $59... I could def run a second battery if need be, but I installed an ammo can in the factory airbox "slot" for my winch stuff... I have notice about 1-1.5 mpg increase and some power as well. It has a low throaty sound to it during acceleration and pre-cleaner sounds like a turbo.... I just put 35's on so I'm probably gonna notice a decline in mpg; hopefully to what I was averaging before (15-15.5).... Here is a pic of ammo can....

Sweet. I may have to try this your way instead of Dirtmans. I like the idea of running a dual battery for lights, amp, and whatever else gadgets i may want to run.

I had him fabricate the same tray he used, but decided to bypass the factory airbox during the install. To me, there was too much involved with modifying the airbox to run the intake tubes from snorkel. If you use his tray, you will have to weld a plate of some sort to offset the angle in which it's fabricated for airbox. Or, you could probably cut it and put a bend with some sort of bracing underneath, almost like a pillar... There are definitely many possibilities with the open space where airbox is supposed to mount... I may decide to nix the ammo can and run a dual battery myself... If you lived within the area or within a few hours, I'd be more than happy to help you out with it... Probably the most precise and enjoyable mod I've done....
