Read thru the posts....

Done in under ten minutes a side and that was being really anal with it since you can see the connectors from the side..Works perfect! For those that asked but didn't get a response the short piece of black wire that is left over, that used to go to the side marker... I taped it and tucked it back into the plastic wire loom out of side and danger.

Sounds like a great, easy, cheap mod. Cant wait to get home and start working off the list of stuff I want to do to the Jeep.

Last week I had someone almost pull out in front of me and as I passed they yelled, "Use your @&#%*! blinker!" Well I WAS using it, but I'm sure they were focused on the fender marker lens that doesn't flash. Well it does now!!!

Just did this mod this evening... took me a bit longer than most guys have noted, but I soldered all my connections and tucked the wires back into the plastic looms. Shoulda come from the factory like this.

One source for this type of connector: ht tp:// store.anchormarina.com/anchor/details.php?ITEM=3309203

I've picked some up, and I'm replacing the scotch locks with them tomorrow. I think everything should tuck nicely back into the looming better with these anyway!

It will be interesting to see the condition of the wires after I remove the 3M quick connects - hopefully no moisture has gotten in there yet - I did this mod end of last October
You can always use liquid electrical tape to completely seal the entire junction....it really seals it completely - like a rubber coated seal - if you have't used that stuff you need to start.....We use it on all of our marine toys.

After all the money I have dropped into my 2007 Sahara... this is the best $1.00 I have spent yet (connectors). Tested the lights without connecting the bumber and front parking lights, did not work. But once I got everything back together and hooked up it all worked fine!

Awesome mod!

I also just did this mod on my 2010. I get to drive it to work tonight so I can see how nicely it does at night. First mod with less than 70 miles on the JK. Took me about 25 minutes including figuring out where to cut the wire, taping the old end and tucking it in, taping the blue wire connector, and adding 1/2 wire loom over the connector and covering the old wire loom to the front light.

Great mod!!!
