Check out the pic....it's worth a thousand words on how I got in there and did it. It's really simple and probably even easier since I had the grille off.
I tried this on my 08 and it did not work! I used the black wire from the marker light and mated it with the white \tan wire in the front plug.. Now they don't light as marker lights or a flashers now.

One thing I did notice is the picture posted does NOT show the Black wire cut from the marker but the white\green wire that is cut!

Please explain...

Just completed this tonight and it works fine on my 2008, Used a Blue Tap right before the connector at the blinker and ran a new wire up to the black wire from the side marker, snipped the black wire and used a barrel connector to my new wire. After it was all taped up you cant even tell, most of the wire and connector is hidden in the loom.

OK I figured it out it is my LEDs They will only pass voltage in one direction. If I place a regular light bulb in the socket it works fine. I like my leds better they draw less voltage and will never burn out.

Shit, I should have read this earlier. I just tried mine and it didn't work and I couldn't figure out why, Now I see it's because of my GenRight LEDs. That blows. I was trying to make them and my front LED's marker/ turn signals since I don't have front markers now. So it ONLY works with normal bulbs then? Any ideas for LED's? Anyone?

Ok I tried this last weekend. cut the black wire on the side marker, tapped into the outer most white wire on the blinker, NO GO. so I reconnected the black wire and then t-tapped into the white wire just blinked real fast. Now I am back to stock till I figure this out.

Default It works!

I remarked yesterday that it's a shame the marker light dosen't indicate direction also and today I find this solution. I printed the picture and followed the directions written and in 30 minutes my marker lights now worked as a side view directional signal. Thanks to all who contributed.

Default marker mod didn't work

Tried this also, but didn't work. Did y'all cut the black wire at the side marker or futher back near the front signal and tap it onto the white wire of the signal light.??
