Cut the black to the side marker and attach that to the outermost white wire(white furthest from the black) on the front turn signal.

Did it - Looks great! I love it! Not sure if it was mentioned here, but on the '08 JK Unlimited the wires coming from the blinker on the driver side are white with a green stripe. On the passenger side, they are white with a brown stripe. Thanks for the writeup!

It's the same as you mentioned for the '07 4DR. I just did mine last night. Pretty easy. Thanks for all the instruction on this thread!! I see this mod as a safety improvement!!

I did mine this afternoon. That is one of the slickest (cheapest), neatest mods yet!! I agree with some of the above posters in that this should be a required mod. Not too long ago I posted on the Chrysler site that I'd be willing to be an advisor to their new panel. Got a reply saying that I'm on the waiting list as the response to their query was overwhelming. Apparently a LOT of people were willing to be on the panel to have input as to what they can (need) to do to make their vehicles better. Hopefully they'll listen & act on some of the suggestions. Again - GREAT mod!!

This might sound like a stupid question, but what do you do with the end of black wire that gets cut-I mean the end that doesn't get attached to the turn signal wiring harness?

I haven't looked yet at the wiring yet, but was planning to do this mod today.

Thanks,

Steve

I did mine this afternoon. Once I got the grill off, I saw where it came from the harness. I connected the black wire to the outermost wire from the black going into the turn signal. Worked great!

Funny in Europe they come from the factory like that, light up when the lights are on and blink when the indicator is on. Would have thought they would have done the same in the US?. But the European side lights stick out further due to the side indicator law we have. must bee seen from a certain angle cant remember the exact law.
