Stubby front bumper without plastic cover
Thanks for all the idea with this project. I kinda of took several ideas and combined them together and got a pretty nice end product. I took the factory bumper, removed the cans, found some aftermarket halogen fog lights and added a 12,500 lbs winch. I used the Body Armor winch plate mounting bracket ($50) and the harbor freight mounting plate ($40) and the fog lights are also from harbor freight ($18).

Hello All,
I used the stock fog lights and sprayed them with a single coat of tail light blackout spray. The lights are housed in 4 inch black pvc pipe which does limit the ability to adjust them some. I removed the tabs from the black light housing so they would fit in the pvc. The pvc is then screwed/bolted to the bumper with brackets. The light housing is screwed to the pvs from the outside to hold them in place. Cut a couple notches in the PVC so they extended under that plastic thing a little (top view picture).
Those are PureJeep shackle mounts, Smittybilt schackles and Daystar schackle isolators.
I angled the ends of the bumper to match the angles of the grill - thought it would look better that way.
Did the standard bedliner spraying.
Sorry for the crap write-up. I got into it and lacked the abilty to take pictures during the build.
Thank you to the others for their posts. I pulled ideas from others.

I would like to copy ur fog light design can you tell me how you secured the gutter guard to the bumper and then the fog lights to it? Or maybe provide some close up pics from the front and the back of the fog lights?
Looks cool... however I'd be very, very leery about pulling anything with those D-Rings. The factory tow hooks are designed to pull in line with the frame and use the frame as the load path. There's not much supporting the bumper ends besides bent sheet metal. The metal would most likely fail at the worst time. Just watching out for you, buddy!
