Looks good, Silverback!
I just ordered mine today, and got a sweet deal at 4wd with my Club discount (10%) and free shipping!
I'll probably end up lashing my boxes to the deck inside. I want my tools out of sight and out of the elements. Could those 2 trays/mounts be used for Jerry Cans? I know fuel inside the vehicle is psycho crazy, but for when we go wheeling with the top down, might not be a bad idea

(I know the trays are too small, but maybe their mounts would work with a Jcan mount?)

I received mine for xmas, now hopefully I can get it installed before spring. I like the ammo can idea or something to put a lid over the open boxes and secure it some way. Ordered through 4WD and shipped from tuffy without any problems, They certainly pack that thing well for it to get dinged someone must be dropping it from the back of the moving UPS truck. Thanks for the great write-up it should not take me long.
Now just to find some time.

Just Finished installing mine, I decided I didn't like the idea of cutting myself to bits on the sharp edges at the bottem.. it's only a matter of time till I do it. so I pulled back the edges of the carpet and put the bottem edges of the side panels under it. Easy enough on the driver side however on the passenger side it's a pain. Getting the tab that is supposed to go over the sub on the floor to instead go not only under it but under the carpet as well took a bit of... "persuasion" but I eventualy got it. I'm quite pleased with it this way... now to find some ammo cans

A related question I think. Top off, security deck on, person reaches in unlocks back door, then front which unlocks the gate. Is there a way to prevent the gate from being unlocked if someone were to flip the door locks? Some programming thing we can do? Thanks.

I was planning on just unhooking the wires inside the gate that go to the solinoide... no power lock on the gate any more.

If you have power door locks and lock the doors using the key fob, the power to the rear gate is automatically disabled about 20 seconds later. In other words, you can't unlock the gate by opening a door and using the door lock/unlock switch on the door. Hope that made sense, you can read your manual for a better description.

Good idea however it doesn't give you the option to leave the doors unlocked so people don't cut the soft top windows to get in.

thanks guys, I really want the security deck and I hope out of sight means why bother. I had a friend with a Wrangler that just left his doors unlocked and had a faceplate stereo and he was in New York and never a problem. He moves to San Fran and in 2 days, both windows slashed and the stereo without the faceplate ripped out. You never know if they'll even try the door. I read the manual and I guess I missed the 20 second thing. thanks again. I also like the disconnect if I keep the top off for any significant amout of time. In Chi town we don't get very long stretches though.
