Just found out that my C's are bent after getting an alignment done, very minorally bent. RubyDoo is off about 1 degree on the right side and .5 degrees on the drivers side.

There was another thread on here somewhere that actually talked about people finding out the axle tubes are what's bending and not the C's.

Rando, I'm not here for points....but lets be honest.

The only way that you can possibly do the damage you did is by wheel spin and wheel hop with a sudden catch of traction.....thats the ONLY way man, and the only way for that to happen is by jamming the pedal because your stuck or trying desparately to get up that hill.

...."When in Doubt, Go Full Out".....right?

Look, I'm not out to point the finger, I'm merely indicating that with that kind of driving, there is no doubt that someone on the mechanical end at Chrysler will recognize the damage and the cause of it.....theres no way in hell they'd Warranty that.

Warranty is for failure of manufacturer equipment under normal, non abusive circumstances.

Again Rando, best of luck with that.....you'll need it.

C-Gussetts and axle trusses would solve that lil problem, before it happens, why I did mine sooner than later

So I'm guessing that means they must be using an aftermarket programmer. But supposedly using aftermarket programmers voids the warranty.

Some programmers do some don't. The dealer probably got a manufacturer approved aftermarket programmer that won't void the warranty. Plus they are ASE certified mechanics... they have a code of ethics that they should be abiding by.

I don't think that any aftermarket programmer would be manufacturer approved. If you buy a programmer that changes the manufacturer's setting, you are choosing to accept the fate of voiding that part of your warranty.

As far as the topic, I think that if the dealer turns down the warranty work, and the fault is directly attributed to the modification, legally you will have no ground to stand on. If the dealer proves that the larger tire size placed more stress on the components, then you will be out of luck. That's why mod-friendly dealers are hard to find.

I agree...but that means, as built and tested by the Manufacturer Standard prior to getting to a dealership.

Here is a link to Jeeps "Trail Rated" ratings release....just an FYI

http://www.jeep.com/en/4x4/trail_rated/

To Chrysler....this means that it is specifically trail rated for nothing more than what is described.....not axle twisting 35's slamming over rocks and bouncing up hills at high speed.

I hope this helps.
