Plug and Play Remote Starter $100 on ebay
I'm about to do the install, bit I have a quick question. Are you supposed to do the normal install completed with the lock of the key pad and then the grounding of the purple wire in another step or do you do the normal programming and grounding in the same step?
You can do the ground procedure during the initial set up.
You do it in step 7 BEFORE you click lock on your key.
Install took about 30 min, works perfect. Install would have been faster but I didn't program it right the 1st two times.
When you plug in the data link while holding the program button it lights up blue then cycles through the lights the stays blue and that is when I let go. The 1st 2 times I let go as soon as it lit up blue and it didn't work.
Alarm depot from amazon is the way to go. Ordered it at 11pm on Tues and got it Friday. Installed and warm on Saturday.

I wish they had one for manual Jeep's. I miss that the most from my car, TJ lacked it as well.
I already have a button by my ignition so I can start it up without having to push the silly clutch in. The TJ actually had a module you could just unplug, JK's electronics requires a button to be added
A remote start for that price would be awesome though!

Amazon was screwed up, I got mine 4 days after ordering. It will work on a manual, but I don't recommend it without implementing some sort of safety protocol. I bought it to test it out, and you will have to bypass the clutch safety switch. I plan on using a relay connected to the e-brake and a toggle switch to complete the circuit. That way it will be a 2 step process for it to work, maybe hide the switch.
