Plug and Play Remote Starter $100 on ebay
Make sure your getting the same setup as everyone else, not sure if you saw my edit above.
I used 4lo and Neutral to test the system..my plan is to use a relay. pin 86 is your key on hot, pin 87 is your ground output that goes to clutch, I want to switch this as well. 30 and 85 go to the e-brake, or 1 to ground and 1 to brake.

Which pin are you planning to put the relay on? I assume 15, 14 would be the normal choice. Pin one on the ignition would be the safest though but that would involve splicing into the wire for possible no extra gain if 15 and 14 are free.
No, the relay it's self...sorry if I confused you.
I plan on buying a relay say, for lighting. Supply keyed power to #86 on the relay and ground to #'s 30 and 85 using the e-brake switch wire. # 87 becomes a ground that would be tied into the wire that you use to ground the clutch. My thinking is, apply the e brake, put in (N) you hit the remote start button it supplies power to the relay which in turn grounds the clutch. I want to put a toggle switch to break ground as well (2nd precaution).
I just reread your post...I think i'm confused LOL. The short answer would be i'm not sure yet.

No, not really I find auto boring. lol The unit works out of the box but, theres no safety precautions, and you have to trick the jeep into thinking the clutch is pressed. This is just a glorified bypass switch, but it makes me use the e brake and turn on a switch to make it work.

By far ... no. I would never swap into an auto.
