Superchips Flashpaq for JK, Initial Impressions
anyway... it def feels better with the 89 in.
Has anyone had any issues with the ESP/BAS Light and ESP Light (little skid marks light) randomly coming on since installing the flashpaq? Since I have instaled mine (87 Tune) it has come on twice. I did do the update before installing.
Superchips - Holy Crap or your money back!
Just flash my JK and love the the results. This is by far the easiest mod I have done. I bought it from an online source $295 including free shipping (std ground ) and received within two days
I cannot list the name since they are not a site vender. Found them on a Google Product seard for "Superchips 3875".
Can't wait to compair stock to tuned results.

does superchips 87,91,93 tunes use RON or PON?
RON: Research Octane Number – European Standard
MON: Motor Octane Number – Motor sport applications, Measured under more severe conditions than RON (higher revs etc). Usually 8-10 units lower than the RON.
PON: Pump Octane Number – USA Standard, The average of RON and MON (RON+MON/2).
thats because here in kuwait our petrol is different than US standards.
i heard that the US 91 octane = 95 in kuwait...
i filled her up with kuwait's95 octane, used the 93tune and it ran smooth, however when i knew that there is dfference between kuwait petrol and the US, i switched back to 91 and i noticed that the jeep kindoff "jumps" or somewhat like a pull, at then the of each gear...
reallly confused:S

Superchips uses the RON+MON/2 method for it's octane ratings. This is also known as AKI or Anti Knock Index. Being in Kuwait, I'm sure your'e seeing RON numbers which are generally 5-8 points higher. I would tend to be pretty liberal as the further away you get from the knock sensors, the more power per stroke you will get.
Here's a rough breakdown
Superchips 93 Tune, 98 RON or Higher
Superchips 91 Tune, 96 RON or Higher
Superchips 87 Tune, 92 RON or Higher

I too am having the lurchness with the throttle. Really more annoying than anything. Sometimes I can manage the throttle without it lurching.
I have more of a problem with trying to average my mpg. No matter how hard I try to drive "normal", I can't seem to stay off the throttle
for more than a day or so. So I get anywhere from 16-19mpg, highway and city. But the improvement in get up and go is well worth it
