Chrysler, and all manufacturers for that matter, tune their computers conservatively to protect it from damage for long term use, the "safe" parameters. If they were tuned for maximum performance, they would have a lot more warranty claims for blown engines. Buyers assume the risk of using a tuner or having a tune professionally made for their vehicle.

On the SuperChips website, there are two versions of the software available ... Win7 32bit and Win7 64 bit.

Looks like there were some compatibility issues ... so, make sure you have the correct version for your OS.

Alright, to be fair here is what has happened since I posted...I did NOT have it in ACC it was ON...however, it would never take. It kept flashing initializing and then said it could not read that the engine was ON. So....instead of using quick tune, I selected advance tune....went through the screens and then it idid save the stock prpofile and install the 87 Octane tune...when it was done it said tune installed.

I have noticed some difference in driving, but would like to spend some more time behind the wheel....I will say at this point if you are looking for your hair to blow back and be thrown into the seat this may not be for you. I do, however, think that given that I will change tires within the next year and thus will have to buy some sort of calibrating device, this at least gives me more options. Again, more time and I will render a better opinion.

Oh...also, while it was installing the tune the HOTOIL warning kept flashing on the dash, but I just let it go since the SC device seemed to be installing...plus it was freezing outside and I was not operating the engine so there was no way the oil could be hot!

Hope this clarifies my previous comments...

Got my flashpaq for Christmas and used it last night! It took SEVERAL attempts to get it updated, but once I got over that hurdle it was smooth sailing. I used the 87 octane tune, adjusted the tire height to my 35s, and lowered the TPMS to 30 from 35. During my morning drive to work, I noticed that my low tire light is now off and I'm getting about 3 MPG better! This thing is great!

Got a SC for Christmas also and I'm getting tired of just trying to update it.
I registered on the website and logging on and off on there is fine. Had to download programs and hook up to the wife's computer since they don't do Mac (Nice) and when it asks me to login, I get "Login Failed".
Went back to website and tried to login there and I get some wrong password msg.
Clicked "forgot password", reset my password and then signed out. Signed back in to make sure it works and it does.
I went back to the whole quick update (yes I did the correct download. 64-Win.7) and tried again. Downloads 3 updates, then asks me to login. Guess what, now I'm locked out of my account and I that I need to go through my security question. What security question? WTF?
Said Hell with it and uninstalled the program, downloaded the program again, tried to just register through the Flashpaq using a different user name/email. Went through the registration process, answered what security question I wanted (Ah, there you are) and then I get a "registration timed out". OK. Tried again. My email is already in use now. WTF.
My initial impression for the Flashpaq JK is that it sucks. These people obviously have issues with there website and registration/update process, and they want me to trust them with the computer in my Jeep?

I'm glad to see i wasn't the only one having problems logging in and getting my software stuff to work right. 64bit on windows 7 for th eupdate software was anightmare to get everything working and working well. the tuner would time itself out alot and i'd have to do it all over again.

creating an account was also a pain because when i used an email address where my new username wouldn't work, it wouldn't take the email address i entered because it was alreadyh being used, and vise versa for the username. Long story short i finally got everything worked out after a while behind the screen and swearing at the computer. The chip works well but i didn't get a huge difference with the 87 tune, but i do feel alot more response, especially at higher speeds. Speedo calibration took a bit to get just right but that's trial and error anyway.

I too, got the HOTOIL and the dinging goign off and it freaked me out but the programmer said Do NOT unplug. so i listened. it all worked out well.

After almost 3 hours of just trying register/update the thing, I gave up. I've tried 3 user names/email addresses and I can only log on to the site with one. The other two say email address not found or some thing like that even though I've received email from them to verify. None of them work when trying to update the flashpaq through the USB. Keep getting login failed msg.
Totally not impressed.
FYI: my avatar is about how I look after dealing with it.

I hear ya...as I mentioned, I got it installed, but it took a lot of work! Also, there was never any mention about HOTOIL messages flashing. I even checked that I had 32 bit windows prior to starting....I know how to work a computer! We have had so much snow here that I can not really get out and get on it to see if it is worth the price or not.

Updated ours a couple days ago. Note for those with log in issues, they seem to require you to register twice. Registering on the website does not register you when you download the icon for software update to the desktop. I had to "register" on that one too...same information, etc. and it worked fine. I used 32Bit and had no issues uploading to the Jeep.

Only thing I seemed to miss when I downloaded the updates was the "offroad" setting for TPMS. Need to go back and get that one.
