Ditch the CAI. It's leaning you out.

Has anyone ran this with the 6 speed??? Do you think its worth the 350 $ in a 6 speed? I only hear good news of this coming from JKers with autos! I am going to 35's in a few weeks, just wondering if it is needed! Also I was told my JK was running RICH due to my exhaust pipe turning grey/black, would the SF help with that?

i like it with the 6spd, can't say that your exhaust will change. However I haven't seen any gas engine that did not have a black tailpipe after 50 miles. It pulls better in higher gears, better throttle response when shifting. It's not a "how did i live without it" mod, but it's certainly a step in the right direction.

Only if you changed your transfer case.

I also have a 6 speed and think it's worth every penny.

GoodysGotCuda - Have you flashed back to stock since owning your flashpaq? Everytime I flash back to stock I swear I'd never want to live without my flashpaq! When I go back to stock it feels like the gas pedal is connected to the throttle body with a bungie cord and I'm towing a large boat.

Dang now I am getting knock too!
I have had the flashpaq for 5 months and it has worked great on 87 octane. now I am getting some ping in 2nd and 3rd from 3500rpm on up when I accelerate. Gust put in a half a tank of 92 octane gas and still have it.

0-1200 of elevation
No CAI or catback
Iridium plugs in the stock heat range
Mobil1 0w30
Flashpaq
No heavy bumpers or hardtop

I sent a not off to Superchips on this although I haven't experienced the issue. Perhaps I avoided the situation when I did my seasonal bump to higher octane, using the 93 setting for the summer.

Not sure if it's seasonal temperature changes and the PCM catching up, or something else. A temporary bump to 89 octane and a battery disconnect have seemed to work for others.

When I get a response from SC I'll post the reply from their Chrysler engineers.

I'm no gas expert but I think they change the blends from winter to summer. I wonder if that is having an affect or if it's maybe just the warmer ambient temperatures? Only 6 months until we can see if my hypothesis is correct.
