if you brought your jeep in for a recall they reflashed your computer to have it run diffrent temp with the O2 sensor. i talked with my jeep dealership here and thats what it is. lucky you you still are able to change your tires size im stuck with the stock settings for tires and now programing so i dont know how fast im driving. as for the upgrade yeah same problem there to. it sits for hours loses connections and no update. superchips didint call me email me nothing just a big fuck you so far. when it worked it worked great but when it doesnt wow their customer service sucks!!!!!!!!!! they need to put boot to ass and get something going for these jeeps soon cuz i think all 2010 will get reprogramed for the recall.

Just bought and installed superchips on my jeep. 4 door, auto. As soon as I hit the pedal I could tell a difference. Don't know about mpg yet, but the response I feel now when accelerate is worth the price already. Almost feels like my old Cherokee now!

Next step 35's!

Well, I just received an update to my programmer and it is working again. 2 words come to mind in this whole situation, piss poor. Took them 7 weeks to allow my programmer to be little more than a paper weight. Needless to say in the future I will be giving Diablosport a much more serious look.

I wouldn't give Diablosport a look.....tried it on my JK....didn't do anything, compared to the Superchips.....just my 2 cents

Not true at all. I run 33s with 3.21s and a 6 speed. THe superchips made my Jeep a lot easier to drive. It drives better than stock now! I actually use 6th gear all the time and went up to 19 to 20 mpg from 16 to 17. (87 tune)

my mileage went up as well.....I get 19-20mpg constantly.......plus the difference in power, especially with big tires is noticeable.

And some have gone the other way as well due to never ending pinging issues with the Flashpaq.

Smile First Impressions with Flashpaq and mods

This forum rocks folks!! Being a JK newbie (had an 06 Unlimited special edition previously), I've read much about my ride and the best mods for it. So far, I've added the aFe air intake and aFe Brute Force stainless exhaust with 3" pipe end to end and OBX throttle body spacer. MB Gunner 18" wheels get installed Saturday. So the Flashpag is the latest mod, installed yesterday evening. Immediately my highway mileage went up to 20mpg and city is around 18, so I'm guessing around a 1-2mpg average increase in gas mileage with the tune set for Gas Mileage. I put 92 octain Shell in today, and will retune tonight to see how the Performance setting feels. The initial installation was fine, I'm an IT guy so this thing is like a cute toy to me. Yeah the software could be better, but it works. I am having an issue of not seeing the Performance 87 octane option, it's simply not there. I've updated the software, did that before I installed it. But I'll keep screwing with it and post my overall results/impressions in a few days. FYI, if you considering a cat-back exhaust, the aFe is pretty good. But be prepared for resonation in the cabin. That little performance muffler does little to quiet the airflow coming through the 3" pipe! I had a muffler shop install a larger resonator right under the driver's seat, which helped some, but it's still loud at around 2k RPM, especially with hard acceleration or decceleration in a a lower gear. The only true way to get the noise manageable is a new muffler...another $200 plus. Something between the performance muffler and stock would be ideal, and I can't imagine losing much airflow considering the 3" pipe. For offroading, it's ideal. It tucks in close to the frame where you can't even see the muffler or the tailpipe and it's really designed for offroading. But of course I had to install it anyway!! More to come...
