So the Flashpag is the latest mod, installed yesterday evening. Immediately my highway mileage went up to 20mpg and city is around 18, so I'm guessing around a 1-2mpg average increase in gas mileage with the tune set for Gas Mileage. I put 92 octain Shell in today, and will retune tonight to see how the Performance setting feels. The initial installation was fine, I'm an IT guy so this thing is like a cute toy to me. Yeah the software could be better, but it works. I am having an issue of not seeing the Performance 87 octane option, it's simply not there. I've updated the software, did that before I installed it. But I'll keep screwing with it and post my overall results/impressions in a few days. FYI, if you considering a cat-back exhaust, the aFe is pretty good. But be prepared for resonation in the cabin. That little performance muffler does little to quiet the airflow coming through the 3" pipe! I had a muffler shop install a larger resonator right under the driver's seat, which helped some, but it's still loud at around 2k RPM, especially with hard acceleration or decceleration in a a lower gear. The only true way to get the noise manageable is a new muffler...another $200 plus. Something between the performance muffler and stock would be ideal, and I can't imagine losing much airflow considering the 3" pipe. For offroading, it's ideal. It tucks in close to the frame where you can't even see the muffler or the tailpipe and it's really designed for offroading. But of course I had to install it anyway!! More to come...
Good info. Looking at new exhaust if worth the pain of sound and Money

I received my Superchips Flashpaq last week.

2007 2 Door
6-speed manual trans
Stock intake
Flowmaster 40 muffler
33" tires
Stock 3.21 gearing

I started with the 87 tune, calibrated my speedo to account for my larger tires, changed the temp at which the fan comes on and added the throttle response tune. I immediately noticed an improvement in throttle response, but I encountered a driveabilty problem in that it caused a pretty bad accelleration stumble between 1800 to 2400 RPMs, and a decelleration stumble in the same range. It was bad enough that I wouldn't use that tune and it may pose safety issues. I switched to the Tow tune and the accelleation stumble went away, but it was still present on decelleration.

With both tunes I've tried so far, it did seem to have a bit more power, but I don't know if that perception is due to the throttle response improvement or actual power increases. I haven't had it long enough to determine if there's any improvement in fuel economy.

So far, I'm not particularly impressed and I'd say it was not worth the expense, but I haven't given up yet. If they had a simplified programmer at a GREATLY reduced price that just allowed you to correct your speedo and get rid of the throttle lag, I would bite on that.

I posted this in another thread but thought it would be good here too.

So when you look at the gear chart for superchips and what gear to get . Do you go by actual height of tire 37 tire so look at 36 on chart or look at the 37 on chart.

Another example. 35 inch tire but actually 34 so 35 or 34 on the gear ratio chart?

This seems like no one talks about actual tire height in jpops gear chart.

I have the acceleration stumble on mine as well. I am thikning about switching over to the tow tune later on if the price of 93 drops below 4bucks.

And WOW... 10mpg? I get 20 on my 33s and 3.21s.

I have had my superchips flashpaq 87 tune on my jku 6spd, for a few months now; and i must say i love it. More power, better fuel economy, and purrs like a cat. this combine with my sprint booster, always me to get a good chirp of the tires going into 3RD! Not that i race my jk, just saying!

Ordered mine from Quadratec last night. I got a heck of a deal...picked up a 10% off coupon from Qtec at the All-Breed Jeep show. Free shipping. Plus, Superchips is having a $25 rebate until the end August!!
Can't wait to get it and install!!

I'm adding an update to my previous post, where I encountered significant sputtering and stumbling when accellerating and decellerating using the 87 tune on my 6 speed.

I switched to the tow tune and that got rid of the most of the accelleration stumble, but it still has an annoying sputtering and stumble upon decelleration. I'm having to slip the clutch to overcome it when transitioning from off-throttle to on-throttle. I'm going to try the Mileage XS tune next, but so far I'm pretty disappointed. That's a big chunk of change to spend on something that just allows you to calibrate your speedo for bigger tires and change the temp at which your fan comes on, but causes driveability problems. If I had an auto, maybe I would feel differently.
