I'm having to slip the clutch to overcome it when transitioning from off-throttle to on-throttle. I'm going to try the Mileage XS tune next, but so far I'm pretty disappointed. That's a big chunk of change to spend on something that just allows you to calibrate your speedo for bigger tires and change the temp at which your fan comes on, but causes driveability problems. If I had an auto, maybe I would feel differently.
I have 6 speed. Tried them all and no issues. Hmmm

I know, it seems to be hit or miss. A few folks on another forum reported similar problems. I have a Flowmaster 40 and I'm wondering if the revised mapping just doesn't like it. I had no problems prior to using the Flashpaq though, with the Flowmaster in place.

I do like the snappy throttle response, but so far it's not worth the tradeoff.

Can't wait to get it and install!!
Update on my order...I recieved unit, registered, upgraded, and them tried to install. Hooked up and when I tried to tune, it said the it had a locked VIN. (code G-37) Tried several more times with the same message. I called Superchips with my concern, and they said it sounded like the unit was used i.e. tuned another vehicle, then may have been sent back to Q'tec. I then called Q'tec and let them knnow what had transpired. Robin at Q'tec did not hesitate to send another unit right out to me. He was going to send a UPS return label to put the first unit in the box ans send it back. Very good and fast service from Quadratec.
Bad news is, I am now on vacation and need to wait until I get back to install the tune!!

I have an '08 6 speed with 3.21's and 33" tires. I know I need the speedometer adjusted to match the tires. How much power increase will I see with a stick shift?

07 Stick here. I didn't feel too much power increase, but WAY better throttle response.

It will probably suck if I turned it off or set it to stock.

I was in the same boat as you. I felt a nice power increase. I have an 08 6spd with 33s too.

I can run circles around my GF's stock JK. And I can keep up with my friend's turbo Jetta. (not really, but its not like a Jet taking off while I'm like "come on... come on... 61.....62.....63......". )

The jeep seems to run smother. It is running cooler so it should help the engine in the long run.

BTW changing the Thermostant is not expensive nor difficult.

The throttle lag seems to be a good reason to reprogram. I was considering a cheaper chip to get the speed calibrated.
