Default Superchips Help

Don't know if this is the right place. But I need some superchips help for my JK. I have an 09' JKUR auto. I just bought a superchips 3875, and have not been able to get it synced to my jeep. Problems first started since I am a Mac user, so I loaded an old version of XP in a virutal machine, and finally got the superchips to update (is it just me or is their software clunky). So I tried it on the Jeep, first try I kept getting a "cannot detect ignition on" error. Searched the web, and did not find to much info. So after 30 minutes went back out to the jeep. I was then able to progress a little further. Tried a tuning option and received a general error G-3F and to call superchips. Looks like it was still not sensing the Jeep because there was no VIN lock yet, and no information on my jeep. So I tried some more updating on the computer, it said everything was up to date and try again later. After a hour I went back and tried again, same error. So I started playing with some other function (Data logging, vehicle info, etc..) those all seemed to work, and it even loaded my VIN, so now I think it is VIN locked. I tried a tune again, and still got the same error G-3F. It looks like it is talking to the Jeep because I get flashing lights (Check engine, ABS, ESP, and another) but it always ends up with error message.
Any thoughts, I really don't want to return this after I just bought it.

You'll need to call Superchips. Be prepared to give them your Vin number so they can get you straightened out. There is likely a parameter that is different from the vehicle profile that Superchips has and they'll need to make an adjustment of the tuned file. Not something that usually happens after the vehicles have been around for a while, but it also could have had a PCM update along the way from the dealer.

Well that makes, sense because I know my PCM has been flashed at least twice. Once for the addition of the hot oil warning message, and the other time I forget. I was assuming I would have to call, but their hours are my hours, and the chance of me getting some time from work to call is slim.
I am awaiting to be approved on their forum.

Thanks,

If I ever need to get ahold of them I call them right out of the gate 8AM EST. Always get through and off the phone inside 15 minutes.

I forgot to mention, during 87 tune was it supposed to have the hot oil warning light on?

That's a good question. I eliminated the hot oil warning light after installing a transmission cooler similar to the one in the write-up section. No leaks yet after a year, and no more hot oil messages. I don't know what the purpose of the message was, as I had no choice but to finish the run, wasn't like I was going to turn off the jeep and wait it out. Dumb design, as they have since fixed it in the 12's I believe.

I'll try to find a dedicated windows machine, I'm sure I still have a few friends left that haven't switched.

Was it while you were tuning, or after the tune was installed and driving it?
