I have a Bully Dog and also liked the TrailDash but not sure about the $$$.

What advantages did you see on the TrailDash in terms of performance? The display is nicer but would not make me change by itself.

Not just nicer, but a cool 4.3" display. Super nice, OEM looking installation with the additional dash pod.
Bully: I am not impressed with power or MPG gains at all!
To change tunes, you need to start from scratch like a new upload, which can take up to 20 minutes!
Tire size change starts always at zero inches und takes forever to get to 35"; and this plus a few other settings need to be entered every time you want to change the tune! It does not remember my last settings!
Pretty bad on the software side!!!
By the time I am done, my wheeling buddies are long gone! I am not even changing anything anymore, because it takes so darn long.
If I wanted a display only unit, I could have saved a lot of money by NOT buying the Bully Dog!

TD: Last weekend I rode with a friend in his 2010 JK and a Traildash installed...WOW! Some real power "feeling" (don't have a dyno), a lot more the with the Dog! The display option are almost endless! You also can buy extra sensors if you really need more, like diff. or t/c temps.
So, I jumped off the cliff and got me one!
(amazon for 450 bucks, free shipping!)

Been running 93 octane and 35's for almost a year. Won't ever go back until a regear.

Hmm. I don't really pay attention.

My gage reads 14 in the winter and 16 in the summer +/-

way back doing the math my gage would read about 1 mpg higher.

13-15mpg maybe ?

Agree on the Bully's not very good user interface, but we do not need to buy anything extra to get the transmission and coolant temperatures. What does the TrailDash require? Those points are available through the OBD port.
